So since we have quite a few hoops fans and footy depresses me at the moment, name your top 5 players, not who you think are the greatest just guys you love/loved watching.

1. Michael Jordan (obviously)
2. Magic Johnson (his name really sums him up)
3. Shaq (loved watching the big guy just wreck people)
4. Reggie Miller (biggest shit talker but had the skills to back it up)
5. Kobe (awesome in full flight)

1. Dirk (biased)
2. Jordan
3. Kemp
4. Magic
5. Nash

Jordan
Iverson
Maravich
Magic
Shaq
Erving

Couldn't keep it to 5. Unfortunately i was too young to see majority of these guys in their prime, but I've watched countless hours of footage.

Christ it's frustrating being a Tottenham Spurs support, but what a fairytale for Leicester. Kudos to the club that came out of nowhere to win the English premier league

5000-1 odds at the start.. I wonder if anyone had a thousand pounds on them at that odds... Millionaire

Opened up the most recent issue of Australian Geographic and my grandpa is in there

NBA's MVP award is voted on 5,4,3,2,1 by 130 accredited sports writers and 1 aggregate vote of fans who vote on-line. So 131 5 votes are available - 655 votes in total.

Never in the history of the game has any player received all possible 655 votes....until now. Steph Currie amazingly received every possible vote he could have received in the award. The first unanimous verdict in NBA history.

I have no words for how good this guy is.

My top 5 players:
1. MJ
2. Kevin Garnett (the type of player I modelled my own game on as a Center/PF)
3. Jermaine O'neal (see above)
4. Tracy McGrady
5. Eddie Griffin R.I.P. (loved watching this guy at College level, just an absolute wrecking ball, offensively and defensively. One of the best shot blockers IMO). Struggled with off-court demons, ruined his career and life. Could have been anything.

He's pr0n for sports fans. Complete sporting perfection. Never seen anything like it.

Steph deserved it. The team is strong but he is changing the way you play basketball. Just makes your jaw drop watching him. Has a chance to write his name up with or above the great one, which I never thought could happen. I hadn't watched much hoops for a few years pre-Currie but he is getting me to watch again.
IF you were ever a fan/player/just shot a few hoops, it is worth watching Currie.
