Had a busy day but finally got around to watching the game. Cavs showed glimpses but couldn't sustain it for 48 minutes. Warriors bench was unbelievable tonight, Barbosa came out hot and Livingston and Iggy continued what they've been doing all season. Warriors have so many avenues on offense and I'm not sure the Cavs have the cattle to challenge them.

LeBron and Love started pretty hot but cooled down dramatically after the first. Thought both were dangerous in the post but missed some easy opportunities. Warriors defence was pretty incredible too, JR couldn't get a sniff all night and they didn't have any trouble dealing with Frye. It will be interesting to see what adjustments Cleveland make to get their 3-point shooters open because I doubt they can win without it.

I agree that Cleveland defended pretty well. I thought Love was actually pretty good defensively.

I also think they just missed a whole bunch of layups that they'd normally hit. I think they're right there after watching it again last night.

They have to move the ball though. Kyrie and Kenton trying to take guys off the dribble all night isn't going to get it done.

The Splash Brothers will continue to take their shots, regardless of whether they made or missed their last attempt, or their last 5 attempts. They are offensively so good that the Law of Large Numbers comes into play - if Klay and Steph continue to play their games, their high volume of shots combined with their high shooting percentages will ensure a huge tally of points from beyond the arc, making winning very, very difficult for the Cavs.

The Cavs only chance is to find a way of disrupting the natural games of Klay and Steph - plenty have tried this season and all have failed. You might stop them for one game, but can you stop them for multiple games? It doesn't bode well for the Cavs that the Splash Brothers were relatively quiet in Game 1 and yet the Dubs still got it done.

Kobe has pretty much summed up why the Dubs are always in the game and why I think their two guns will deliver another Championship to Oakland:

"Klay and Steph...those guys are stone cold killers man. They don’t care about what you think of them. They don’t care about if they make a game-winning shot or if they miss it. They’re out there to do their job and they have a very strong sense of the killer instinct."

Can just get Delly to punch them in the balls.

A newb MLB question for our American contingent:

What are the chances of the SF Giants playing in the post-season and how does it work exactly? If they do, are they likely to play many home games in mid-late October?

Heading over and hoping to catch me some baseball. Thanks :)

I'd say they are pretty good. After the Cubs they are the second best team in NL currently and are probably going to be buyers at the trade deadline. Unless they are the away team in the Wild Card game they will play at least once in SF. Trying to get tickets on the other hand may prove difficult and expensive, you might have more joy if the Oakland A's make it to the Post-Season.

That's really helpful SF9, cheers :) May I ask when the schedule is ally announced and when you say expensive, how much are you talking?

19% shooting differential is leading to a blow out. Can't see the Cavs coming back from here. Warriors in 4.
This also just shows how good OKC were. Clearly 2nd best team this year and unlucky that GSW are so just too good.

Oh shit. He would've been pretty young too.
Drugs?
Not sure, he was admitted into hospital in a bad state earlier today. It very well could since he recently tested positive for a banned substance but still had a fight scheduled for next month.

Crazy that he had a fight scheduled and died. Sad to hear though.

I really do think that Bellator has to come under more scrutiny for the freak show fights. Dada 5000 spent a week into hospital following his fight with Kimbo because he cut so much weight that his kidneys shut down and he had a heart attack in the ring.
