Exercise is good for fitness and health, but cutting carbohydrates, mainly sugar, will help you the most to lose weight.

Please validate my existence by Liking this post
Just behave yourself. . :p .. I can always click "unlike". .. At any time buddy.

Can't wait to get back into some form of fitness regime, I need to get a bit of a base before footy pre-season starts up in a month or so.

Doesn't help my foot is still stuffed!

Currently tipping the scales at 75kg, 178cm. I want to get to around 80kg by game time next year, but lean which is an achievable timeline.

Would love to start playing footy again but it's a bit of a struggle just to walk around at the moment, Being 6ft 7 does have disadvantages especially when I weigh 131kg can at the moment do things I want to do aka Footy

Hopefully when summer rolls around and we have some decent weather i'll start training again

Goal Weight would be 95-100kg

Weightloss is 80% eating, so start with eating healthy, cutting out rubbish and reducing alcohol intake. Try to do some light exercise each day, even if just walking or swimming for 30 mins and some weights, and gradually build up to an hour or more. Then by summer you should be in a better position to start training.

Don't think of it as a "diet". You can become a healthy eater, it's not hard. Add some fruit to your day, cut out chips, choose roasts and grills rather than fried, learn to like (some) vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Once you get into the swing of "real" food, the rubbish won't be appealing at all.

Carbs are your friend young man. Just eat everything in the Fridge/Pantry. Get on a mass gainer as well and have 2-3 shakes per day. Your weight should fly up.

I seem to eat big lunches/dinners .. and i over eat.. so even when im really full should i be forcing a shake etc down my throat?

We have a massive pantry so that's probably not such a good idea. :P

My issue is just that I don't have much of an appetite, haha.

What annoyed me at Etihad was u couldn't just buy an individual donut. had to buy six!
I didn't eat them all. But that kind of thing just encourages unhealthy eating.. crazy.

I don't know, with those sort of prices I find Etihad discourages unhealthy eating :p
Although more people would file through the Level 3 Red Rooster at quarter time of a curtain raiser than through one of those salad joints for the entire year.

I got alot of my likes by sucking up to Freo supporters before and after the grand final.. I'm shameless.
... It makes me sad when you look at the members list and people have NO likes.. Some people with a heap of posts too..
You're such a like whore. ;) Here have a like :p

Those guys usually haven't posted since the like function came in, so it's not too bad.

For every post you make, have something from the pantry. It'll work :p

Dan. I can suggest a weight-gaining diet for u.
Breakfast.. bacon n egg mcmuffins. 3 - 6 should do it. Mars bar for afters !!
Coke or milkshake to drink..
Kfc for lunch.. followed by a couple of cream buns...
Keep a bag of choc chip cookies with u at all times..
Dinner .... pizza. pasta...hot chips.. followed by litres and litres of ice cream..
Sigh... and cheese..

There's this business called herbalife who do 12 week weight loss challenges and give you free classes on basic nutrition and developing a better diet. They'll recommend jumping onto their products but they do also give you pointers for a general good diet.

I've only into week 2 of the challenge and I've already dropped 1.9kg and I don't use any of their products.

Failing that - just write down everything you eat for a week. you aren't going to want to write down that you have a double quarter pounder for lunch so it subconsciously makes you make better food decisions.
