Yep. It's the best we could hope for. The US would have destroyed us. Panama is slightly ahead of Honduras and they are very good defensively so with our shocking ability outside of Cahill to find the back of the net, Honduras is a great result.

That said, Honduras is a much better side than Syria and light years ahead of Thailand. So we're still up against it

The current form our squad is deplorable imho. Panicky in defense and a disjointed midfield supplying an inaccurate forward set up.

Yeah it diabolical really. I'm not sure what our setup is meant to be either. It seems we cram 4-5 players in one corner of the ground when going in attack. And that's what we do all game.

OMG OMG OMG The Cubs just beat the Nationals to advance to the National League Championship Series to play those dastardly Los Angeles Dodgers!

Hey Bulldogs, that's how you play the year after winning a championship!

Two years ago I was at the deciding game at Wrigley Field when the Cubs lost the National League pennant to the New York Mets( worse than Richmond). My brother and I stayed around after the game so that we'd never forget the heartbreaking feeling, determined never to feel like that again. It was like the PF 1997 all over again. Both two years ago and in 1997 I lived in hope and it paid off. Winning really is more exciting. Go Cubs Go!

The Cubs lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers this afternoon 5-2 in Game 1 of the NLCS. So now I'm trying to keep up with the scores on the other side of the world just like I did for 17 tears with the Bulldogs. Life is a bitch.

The commentators they've rolled out for the JLT Cup live streams have me pining for the channel 9 idiots, frightening.

So is it just gonna be a whole pile or crap until Cavs vs GS again this year?? Hoping a team like Washington can kick on in the East. Them and Celts only teams I see getting close.

West is more interesting. Spurs never go away and Rockets have a dope backcourt. KAT, Butler, Wiggins should do some damage.

My season tips:

East - Cavs
West - Spurs
Champions - Spurs
Finals MVP - Leonard
MVP - Antetokounmpo
MIP - Myles Turner
ROTY - Dennis Smith Jnr

Can’t see Warriors losing, they’re just too stacked. It’s hard to see Cavs not winning the East if LeBron stays fit.

Celtics should be good, interested to see if they can match Cleveland. Philly are the most exciting team in the East though, praying that Embiid and Simmons can stay fit. They’ve got some really good role players too now with Redick, Saric and Covington. They should make the playoffs. Embiid is a sneaky MVP chance.

West will be fun, there is 11 good teams trying to fit in 8 spots. Warriors, Spurs, Rockets and Thunder you’d expect to make the playoffs. Will be pretty tight between the others. Timberwolves will be the most exciting team in the West this season, hoping they can get it to click. Love watching Jokic so I’m hoping the Nuggets have a good season.

My season tips:

East - Cavs
West - Warriors
Champions - Warriors
Finals MVP - Durant (Boo!)
MVP - Durant (Boo!)
DPOY - Gobert
MIP - Hood
ROTY - Simmons

I'm just pumped to watch a young Mavs team! I don't think we've actually had a developing squad since I started following them (03), always just re-topped with vets to put around Dirk. Now in that transition phase where Dirk has obviously tapered off (almost 40 now!) with an exciting young core, it's going to be a fun season. Barnes, Curry, Smith Jr, Noel is a pretty good young core with support from experienced guys in Harris, Dirk, JJ and Matthews. Looking forward to it.

Brings back memories of Wallis, Stringer and Nathan Brown. Truly disturbing.

5 minutes into the bloody season too. Just not fair.

Ohh, damnnnn.
They've diagnosed it as a fractured ankle which seems a better result, but it's kinda hard to believe given what it looked like. His foot was facing the wrong ****ing direction! Crazy.

Reminded me of PG13

As a jazz man, I was bummed he walked during free agency but that was brutal to watch.
Would not wish that on anyone.
