I've been around a while you know. I've seen a thing or two but I've never seen this spider before. I caught it inside my house. It moves fast and is View attachment 2275665about the size of a 10 cent coin. Does anybody have any further knowledge about my spider? I'm secretly hoping it's super rare.
Looks like a red and black spider (thats its name) but i dont know about the spots on the abdomen

Luka going to drop 60 in his first game back in Dallas...I can't even imagine what the crowd is going through.

On a slightly related noted, Taylor Jenkins and Michael Malone being fired on the eve of the playoffs with their teams in the top 6 in the Western conference is wild.

Granted it's on brand for the NBA and both teams have had their issues but still...I just can't imagine a scenario where an AFL coach gets canned in August with their side locked to play finals.

BONKERS! The Nuggets move was the craziest coaching move I have seen in the NBA, 5 days before the playoffs and he won a championship only a couple of years ago.

I do love the chaos that is the NBA.

Yeah I still can't wrap my head around the Malone one.

I'm sure it's a small comfort for Denver fans that at least the GM responsible for actively making their squad worse since the championship season is gone too.

Firing the GM makes sense, well it makes sense once they get bounced. Firing Malone at this stage of the season is just plain weird.

Anyway, Luka the bum only dropped 45 haha the crowd chanting "Fire Nico" and giving Luka a standing ovation was great to see.

Giddey another triple double, he and Dyson are going to be a great duo for Australia for a long time.

Stephen A interviewed Mark Cuban recently. Cuban was not impressed with the trade, said he was told after it was done. Would never have done the trade himself.

Giving away a top ten or arguably top five player in the league at his age is bonkers. The Mavs had hit the jackpot getting Luka in so soon after the Dirk era ended. He took them to the finals and then you trade him so you can have Davis pair with Kyrie, two very regularly injured players... madness.

Top 5 is the lowest as well, when he's on the court there would only be maybe Jokic, Giannis and SGA that are better than him. The craziest trade we will ever see, no GM would dare do something like that again given what has played out with the fans etc.

My team also traded Luka but at least we did it before he played a game....

Yeah that trade was understandable at the time. The Mavs have traded out another 8 years minimum of contention.

Cuban also knowingly sold his majority stake in the Mavs to a hardcore capitalist family who were always going to try and find a way out of giving Luka a supermax.

If I were a Mavs fan, I'd hold him complicit...or at least ignore all of his musings about how he would have done things differently if he were in charge.

Watching Luka cry during the tribute video was messed up. Here's a guy who was willing to put the team/city on his back for his whole career, and they just trade him for not even close to his value. Nor gave him a heads up about it.

Just absolutely brutal. And I hope he averages 70 against Mavs for the rest of his career.

How good was the crowd though. That’s how it’s done. ATL crowd did the same when Bogi came back a few weeks ago and he had a reaction similar to Luka. Some players mean a lot to the fans and I love that they get recognition on return.

Very sad to relate that the very mercurial Peter Bosustow is in grave health. Not sure if this is common knowledge as I am overseas.

The Perth football club have inducted Peter into their hall of fame at hospital (a bit late).

What a player, that season at Carlton was simply unbelievable, he was a highlight real.

My understanding is that like a lot of owners, the decision making was left with the GM. The decision was his as he values defence in championship teams, so shipped Luka for Davis.

That is corroborated by a few journos and Cuban, who still has ownership shares. That story would be a big one and definitely reported widely. I am also not sure why there is the dislike for capitalists... in my experience they are far more generous than say socialists. :)

Heartbreaking for Mary Fowler

Fowler might be able to just get back in time for the Women's Asia Cup to be played in Australia is March 2026. It's a similar age scenario to Carpenter who did her ACL just a bit after her 22nd birthday and made it back for the World Cup in a 13 month time frame with a few matches for her club team before the tournament, but was below her best.

Very sad, he can't be that old.

That goal of the year he kicked playing for Carlton must still rate as the greatest ever, surely?

What a great memory, it is usually only his mark of the year that gets air time ( in the same year). Buzz wasn’t really know for his defensive side so that was special.

Anyone catch the Michael Slater verdict with his sentencing.

Honestly what a disgrace with a rap sheet & history as bad as his with behaviors towards women that he was let free.

I was following this story a while back, but forgot about it. Seems if you're a sports player, former or present, you're "protected species" (overall, let's do a little slap on the wrist here & there..) from the system's penal/punishment actions. Proper gross
