My thought usually is if the tail of one team can score runs the top order that follows should play with a bit more confidence, although it seems like a lot of the runs today have been behind the wicket and off the edge of the bat. Also it's only a 3rd day pitch.

Feels like one of those matches determined solely by winning the toss. Pitch has gone from plenty of demons to struggling to bowl out a number 11 (Hazlewood). Same as Perth last year, silly movement first 1.5 days then flat as.

It can happen in England, pitches flattening on day 3 or 4 (Headingley 2019 being an example). I never thought one so dry and low could do so though.

Stokes copped a bake in the Sydney paper today for his attitude towards it.

Perth sold out tonight's origin ages ago.

And it was 80% from WA who purchased tickets.
