When India brought Jaiswal into their Test team I thought they would do a much better job of transitioning from the old guard than we would. Turns out there weren't many others in the pipeline, just young blokes who want to bat for twenty minutes and play IPL.
Shoosh dont tell Ben Duckett & England they will come back and claim credit again for India's new style of play right now for wanting to bat for 20 mins and get out

Just saw a headline that AJ Tye has joined the Renegades. WTAF? I mean I think he’s done, but it just won’t be right with both him and Dorff in red. A little like Shaun Marsh and Hoggy I guess. It never looked right. (Not to mention Huss in lime green. That still makes me spew up a little 😅).

Edit: just saw it’s as a local replacement player… scraped in as last player signed. Good luck to him, always loved AJ.

Piastri has a chance to get back on the winners list. I won’t be up for it sadly.

Competitive season this year at least.
Maclaren badly shat the bed.

Horrible call not to pit and Piastri would only be 12 points off the lead if they had pitted both of them.

He needs to win the last race, and have Norris finish 6th or lower.
Verstappen needs to win, and have Norris finish 4th or lower.

Very strange decision. Baffling. It didn’t make sense. The race was effectively over or they were hoping for a safety care at an advantageous time from their. Very poor.

Former Rugby League player Zac Lomax meeting the Western Force is the first time they have been mentioned here in the Sydney Media for god knows how long.

Someone said to me last night are the Western Force still around he thought they got booted like 6 or 7 years ago.

No way the mighty USA doesn’t win the bracket, especially with you Aussie losers in there. Then we’re winning it all. With Trump finally winning (TOTALLY DESERVED!) some sort of made up FIFA peace prize yall are cooked. FIFA, one of the most honest sporting organizations in the world (NOT CORRUPT!) have finally rewarded our supreme leader (BEST LEADER EVER!) with what he so rightfully deserves. The man is so peaceful. Like the most peaceful person ever. In the history of the world there’s never been a more peaceful man. I’m tired of all the violent leaders (LOSERS!) who rise against soccer across the world. Finally a man who has brought peace and prosperity to every soccer lovers life. You know what else he deserves? A World Cup. Everyone is saying it. Everyone knows it. We’ve been robbed for decades (RIGGED!). We’ve had the best teams but the fake FIFA refs are against us. Always have been.

I can’t wait until USA holds what they rightly deserve. It’ll be a glorious day for our country and our supreme leader.

I can't wait for all the "We're #1" USA dreams to be crushed by Europe/South America after the group stage, will be glorious

Surprising West Indies batted out a draw after being 4/72 chasing an unlikely 531.

I suppose it must have turned out to be a good batting pitch in NZ after two low scoring 1st innings scores. After being 4 down, WI only lost 2 more wickets and last two of the last 3 partnerships went big, just under 200 for the 5th and the 7th wicket partnership unfinished at 180.

Mate, our glorious leader won’t let that happen! This whole World Cup thing has been rigged for years (LIKE THE 2020 ELECTION!) but our supreme leader is now involved and will Make World Cup Great Again (MWCGA!).

That Kiwi bowling lineup without Boult and Southee looks very sad. Unless they find some bowlers they're going to waste a very good, experienced batting unit.

Don’t worry buddy. The Aussies are gonna give the Seppies are spanking at the World Baseball Classic in March. Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi!

Jokes aside, who’s your MLB team? I’m guessing the Brewers for both proximity and hobby reasons?

I love baseball but don’t have a team to follow. I’m coaching my son’s teeball team which is nicknamed the Cubs (same colours as Chicago), but somewhat confusingly the cap has a P on it (for Perth) with the same lettering as the Phillies. So I’m stuck between the Cubbies and the Phils.

What do you think? I’m leaning towards the Cubs as an excuse to visit Wrigley Field one day.

I’m happy to be swayed any which way!

Wait to see what Daddoo comes up with, but I reckon the Brewers would be a good fit for a Freo fan. Small payroll team that always punches above its weight.

Yes, and also the Mariners for the maritime connection and lack of success.

Or the Rockies for being a purple coloured 90s expansion team that has generally been unsuccessful apart from breaking through to reach the decider once but falling short.

Both also progressive, liberal-minded cities.

Wagner as well.

Honestly that was a golden generation for New Zealand and now it's really just Williamson left. Can see them have the odd gun come through but can't see them being much good for a while tbh.

I grew up in Wisconsin, so the Brewers have been my team since the early 80's. Apparently I went to the World Series in 82 but I was just a baby, so I don't remember it! lol.

Let me give you some context on the Brewers and Cubs and their fans. The Brewers are the small market team with very passionate fans. Wisconsin is a football state, but Milwaukee is a baseball town. The Brewers fans are winsome and genuine, who prefer to tailgate starting early in the morning so they got a good buzz on by the 7th inning so they can belt out "take me out to the ball game" at full throat. Brewers spent $86million on their 26 man active roster last year.

The Cubs are the "big market team" compared to the Brewers. The Cubs spent $177million on their 26 active man roster last year. So, over double the Brewers. The cubs fans are well known for coming to the Brewers stadium (it's only 60 min away) and getting into fights and acting like the a**holes they are. Here's just one example from this year where a Cubs fan was harassing a 10 year old kid.(https://sports.yahoo.com/article/cubs-fan-dragged-stadium-handcuffs-023720818.html). The Cubs fans call AmFam/Miller park "Wrigley North" because so many of them come up to watch the games. They mock the Brewers fans because there are more Cubs fans at times for a Brewers home game. What they don't understand is that we are AVOIDING THEM. There are 162 games a season. Why would we want to go watch some drunk a**hole get arrested for being a dick? We sell our tickets for secondary to make a buck off those dipsh**s to the south. And that's also why you won't see a lot of Brewers fans at Cubs games. It ain't worth it.

I live in the Chicago area now and honestly the fans are insufferable. Plus Wrigley field is a dump and notoriously smells like urine due to their open trough urinals (google "wrigley field smells like urine"). Here's a guy who covers the Reds take on Wrigley field.

Wrigley was deemed to be the Grossest park in MLB, in 2012! Let me tell you it hasn't gotten better 13 years later. https://www.espn.com/blog/playbook/...igley-is-the-grossest-filthiest-ballpark-ever

It's very historic and beautiful in a "wow, this place has no modern amenities, the views are average, and it's a dump. Wasn't baseball great back in the day?" That's a no from me. You want history? Go to Lambeau Field. I've had Packers season tickets since 1995. There's no stadium like it anywhere. And the fans are fun, kind, love to talk smack (in a good way), and party harder than any fan base in sports. Here's a map of the percent of population that are considered "excessive drinkers" for all counties in the US.

1765122468948.png

1765122414857.png

Notice Wisconsin...they have like 14 of the drunkest counties in the country. In short, we party hard. Like really hard. 😆😆

Obviously, I'm biased, but that's my take on things. If you want a smaller market underdog team that "punches above their weight" like greatgatsby said, then the Brewers are a great choice. There will be frustrations because of the inequities of MLB (unless they institute a salary cap or floor) but it's a good story to root for. Very Freo-esque. If you want a big market team that underperforms (won one world series in 100 years) despite being 5th in the league in spending and whose fans are avoided on game day because of their behavior, then the Cubs are a good choice.

If you ever come to Chicago, hit me up and I can help direct you to some good places to eat and go to wash off the urine smell after you visit Wrigley. lol. 😜😏

And the Phillies? Well, their 3rd in the league in spending. Must be hard to win games when you spend a quarter of a BILLION dollars on players. F**k them too. 😝😝
