I don't get fans whinging about hawthorn's unsociable footy. It's dog eat dog. Go get it.
I think it's mostly cause of hypocritical comments from Clarkson and players like Hodge and Lewis after incidents such as when Lake choked Petrie last year. Acting like they're better than that when they're masters of the cheap shot.

Although I agree too much is made of it. When Melbourne do it or Saints or whatever, no one cares.

Right off topic but how average was Ben Dixon as a player? I mean he wasn't the worst but the way he carries on you'd think he was a superstar.
Same goes for Harford.

Now, I know every former footballer on SEN was a superstar, but there's a special tone of voice reserved for his introduction, and for no good reason.

Paul Roos is such a dick. He's the coach of Melbourne, but 48 hours after his team played he still hasn't seen the Jeremy Howe tackle. All he does is lie through his teeth everytime he talks. Huge dick.
I think Roos is there just to collect some super .Just give the reigns to Goodwin at seasons end!! The media are just so hoodwinked by this bloke it isn't funny . The constant blame game is getting tired, and while I'm at it why is Rocket going down that path as well? Seems to constantly blame Guy McKenna at every opportunity, and although I like Rocket, it's pretty ordinary

Jimmy Bartel on afl.com...

PEOPLE should embrace the game's imperfections rather than obsessing about creating the perfect game, Geelong triple premiership player Jimmy Bartel says.

Amid a growing chorus of voices calling for radical changes to be made to the rules to minimise stoppages and limit congestion around the ball, Bartel preached caution.

He suggested it bordered on arrogance for anyone to think they had an answer on how to make the game perfect.

" think people are a bit full of themselves if they think they can create the rule that changes the whole game," Bartel told AFL.com.au.

"There is this obsession with the perfect game, and the great thing about our game is that it is not perfect - and I think people just need to accept that."

Haha I hadn't used Bigfooty for a few years and was just posting on my phone so couldn't really see anything wrong with it. Then I logged in on my laptop...
Good to have you back. Btw when I took over this board I moved your Not Worth a Thread out of the subboards... I agreed with you at the time when you got shitty on the move but I was the jnr mod then. ;)

Looking at that, currently you couldn't say with confidence that any one of those games contain matches between 2 sides that won't make the 8.

It could quickly become an absolute nightmare from a scheduling point of view for the AFL, but I've got no doubt we'll get screwed up from it.

Pretty clearly it'll be us vs Brisbane and Melbourne vs GWS on the Sunday with Geelong vs Adelaide the most likely third game. No question we'll be on then, and although Collingwood vs Essendon SHOULD be in contention to be played then they'll get a Saturday fixture because $$$>sense.

Something funky going on at the right of screen at Etihad, when the ball is bouncing in the goal square it always goes at right angles to the right! Has happened a few times in our games as well!
