Can threenewpadlocks , Dannnnnnnnnn or someone smarter than me please help me out? (That means anyone on here except those morons from the St Kilda board who are annoying the crap out of me...)

My question is: "Do Collingwood or Richmond actually have a game plan that the players understand and follow, or is this just a glorified Little League game?"

I conducted an in-depth analysis of Richmond's game plan a week ago:
Gather ball
Kick to stationary lateral option
Miss kick
Regain ball
Kick to stationary lateral option
Miss kick
Regain ball
Mindlessly boot ball forward
Intercept posession
Don't defend
Don't defend
Don't defend
Concede goal
As for Collingwood's, I'll give it a go:
Gamble on winning the contested ball
Run forward of the ball
Don't win the ball out of the middle
Chase tail
Concede goal

There is a plan but the players can't execute it. It is quite sophisticated:
Richmond are trying to drop a player back behind the ball.
Collingwood are trying to spread out the Tigers early in the quarter and then have more access to the corridor later....
At stoppages they are going the old clock based system:
10,9&8:00, and 2&4 on the offensive side.
(We played this way in grade 8, can't see anything else!)

Thanks LittleG. I still don't see anything resembling what you've described. I'll try harder.
