Saints turn a thread about Petracca into a thread about Tom Boyd, then play the victim. I can't make my mind up about which BF supporters are the worst.

Is there a site where footy fans can discuss their teams without resorting to subtle trolls that progressively get more obvious as they go back and forth? People take things too personally on this site. They see criticisms of their team as an attack on themselves. Kinda over it.

My thoughts exactly.

So, if Port play every remaining game like they did on Sunday, i reckon they can knock WCE out of the 8. Thoughts?
Yep, agree. Sad for WCE to lose their most important player right when they need him the most. But they have consistently failed to beat the top teams. 0-5 against the top 8, whilst demolishing other teams by 10-20 goals every week. Although I'd like to see us pile on 20+ goals on occasion against the lower teams, as long as we keep turning up to play, no matter the opponent, I'm more than happy.

I'd say Port are first in line to take the 8th spot from WC, but don't discount Carlton or Melbourne off the back of 1-2 disappointing games. They can both string a few wins together and make a charge.

I still think West Coast can win enough to make finals. They won't lose too many at home this season and have some winnable away games coming up.

If Port play like they did against us they could get up to 12-13 wins.

In hindsight, it was probably very important to beat them. Will we regret not challenging those suspensions?
Depends. Matty Boyd was pretty important in the Pies game and if we lost the appeal, we'd lose him for the pies game and likely lose that game as well. Never underestimate the butterfly effect.

And will play finals at a ground they are not familiar with (ANZ @ Homebush IIRC)
I had heard that AFL said they will play home finals at Spotless. If this true, they will be very difficult to beat.

The only teams I really fear are Sydney and GWS at their respective homes. I think we are a really good shot to beat everyone else on any ground.

If true, agree but IIRC heard the opposite.

Dunno. I wouldn't look forward to playing the Cats at Skilled or the Crows at Adelaide Oval.

The SCG might suit our defensive style. Been to a game there?

The ground is so short, the 50 meter arc almost touches the the diamond centre square. Big Red is a pretty good shot from there, ditto Campbell on a good day.

On 360 a few weeks ago Gil was specifically asked and he said if GWS earned a home final it would be at Spotless.

GWS will play at Spotless if they get a home final.

I took a look at their fixture for the rest of the season and loaded up on them for the flag. They'll be top 2 and favourites within 4-6 weeks.
