He gave him 300k that he was told he could repay the next day (weird…maybe he thought he could gamble it, win and pay back a debt plus the borrowed money)Ok, so supposedly they were once close friends, and yet when Pendlebury gave him $300,000 he decided to charge him interest of 50%. WTF!
Not sure how the player manager never thought he would be caught. What was he spending the $2.6m on? A sporting franchise, one way to lose money.
It was after he never paid up and the terms changed they came to that 50% agreement I believe
