Beside Rozee, Butters and JHF it stinks. If anyone of those 3 misses a game, they are cactus.

Just Butters IMO which is why they should really be worried when he leaves next year.

He was out for the first part of 2025 when they were losing to Essendon and Saints. Looked a lot better once he came in.

JHF is good and does some amazing things but he can’t be their number one guy at this stage. Rozee only plays well when there’s no pressure.

Port have an amazing fixture next year don't they? If I recall correctly their top end of Butters, Rozee, JHF, Georgiades should get them to a 4-0 or 5-0 start with the quality of opposition they've got. Then they'll have some real momentum.

Plus the NGA and Father Son's they've got coming in next year, including a pick 1 talent, and the looming potential of NWM still. Hopefully Butters leaves!

Yes, if you can't tell I'm still worried about them...

They could easily make finals but they aren't in contention.

Their backline is not even close to being good enough.

Their forward line is very ordinary outside of Georgiades, while their best small forward just retired.

Carr will have to find some new tricks as 19 onthe field won’t help

you rate rozee above georgiadis? delusional

95% of the comeback was accomplished with 18 on the field.
We only scored 0.2.2 with 19 on the field.

You've been generous to Durdin, Visentini, Wehr, Cochrane, Berry and Richards.
Geez I'd take Visentini in a heartbeat, young athletic developing ruck that's already had a taste of AFL and looked alright. Writing off Joe Berry at this point would be very premature after only 1 year in the system IMO.

Will Brodie might be a good pick-up for them, had a great season in 2022 at Freo when Carr was midfield coach, then bizarrely wasn't picked for the last 2 1/2 seasons, presumably a reason why but I don't know what it is

Ball magnet who is a one way runner and can’t run out a game unfortunately.
His game time has only ever been in the 60’s %

Could be very handy in short bursts with 5 bench this year

Who would you take from their team to put into our best 23, with a view to maximise our chances in the next match?
Would take their centre square players...

Butters
JHF
Rozee
Farrell
Sweet
Aliir

B: Michaelanny, Aliir, Keane
HB: Rozee, Worrell, Milera
C: Soligo, Dawson, Farrell
HF: Rachele, Georgiades, Keays
F: Rankine, Thilthorpe, Fogarty
R: Sweet, JHF, Butters
I: Laird, Peatling, Curtin, Cumming, ANB

Actually the crazy thing is it doesn’t work that way. Teams at the beginning of this year would have been licking their lips when they were earmarked to play us twice. Every year the top 8 changes so an “easy” draw can quickly become harder than you expect

I agree, they will rebound quickly.

It won't work like this but in paper they only need to win one game against a 2025 top 8 side and win the rest and they make it. They will do that easy. They should of beaten us in the first showdown.

How is their '26 team any better than their '25 team?

Organic growth?

They added Durdin and Brodie though.

Nil all draw
It's not like they made huge improvements to their squad, by being the 1st team to ignore the national draft. With a lack of decent picks, they have had to bring in options.

Their biggest change will be the coaching group. Doubt they can make finals with lack of quality depth.

Their fixture is ridiculous, makes our 2025 draw look brutal.

Add in a (sort of) new coach effect and they’ll destined to finish top 8, likely top 6.

They will be found out in finals however. They have some absolute stars but even their best 18 has serious holes, and they didn’t address it this off season - no, Brodie and Wehr aren’t quality.
