Spec rumours liesRumour that Voss has been sacked
That old saying. Anyone, anywhere. We might not be required to beat any of those teams away to win a flag....?

Are we that team? Results to me suggest not quite. We’ll see.

Apparently we scored the strongest Hawks side also. That Collingwood side is really only missing Hill from their 22 who likely is back in next week.....
We are gonna to get the strongest Collingwood outfit of the whole year next week.
It was.Apparently we scored the strongest Hawks side also.
Not as strange as first thought. If 1 and 2 win first week as 'expected' and 3 and 4 win through to the PF then 1v3 and 2v4 in those preliminaries. Position 2 gets the 'weaker' opposition. How often has that happened though? I wonder haha. This is gonna sound strange but I think the path to a GF is easier from 2nd place than it is from 1st if there isn't a straight sets loss from the 4
2nd place plays 3rd first at home, they win straight through to the preliminary final in the preliminary they play a weaker team than they did in the qualifying final 4th or 5th
1st upon beating 4th likely play 3rd in a prelim a harder or if 3rd upset 2nd in the Qualifying final then it's 1 v 2 to make the Grand final.
Love to know the stats on how often 3rd beats 2nd compared with 4th beating 1st.
Also I think if we don't finish top two, playing Geelong at the MCG in a qualifying final is probably still a good result, if we win great home preliminary final but we get an extra game at the MCG which would help us to believe even more that we are ready.
Gooooood. Crush them. Crush their best team. Demoralize them. That Collingwood side is really only missing Hill from their 22 who likely is back in next week.....

Will be nice to break the Collingwood hoodoo pee finals though
We’ve got a lot of monkeys off or back this year
Wins against top sides
Win at the mcg
Wins away against top sides
Hawks we’d had a poor recent record against us
1 less mental burden to the into
Finals (although this group I think is mentallly strong so probably means nothing to them and it’s more outside noise)
What’s interesting here and im
Not sure if this is Normal is where these players are coming from from.
Dominated by the contending sides and poorly represented by developing teams
Top 9= 29
Bottom 9= 11
Would be interesting to see past year trends but wonder if in a season where the gap from top 9 to the rest is bigger than ever is this not a ominous sign for the future of those struggling teams?
Did this rumor start just now, in this thread? Seems authentic. I’ll post it on the Carlton board. They’ll love me!Rumour that Voss has been sacked
They know, it's been going on since their boards 5 hour meeting yesterdayDid this rumor start just now, in this thread? Seems authentic. I’ll post it on the Carlton board. They’ll love me!

C4 posted on Port Board it was ratified last night.Did this rumor start just now, in this thread? Seems authentic. I’ll post it on the Carlton board. They’ll love me!
This also tells me North's list management needs work if they have 3 of the best players under 22 and still anchored to the bottomWhat’s interesting here and im

It is a notable difference between us and our top 4 competitors. How often would the last 3 premiers be in the top 4 together in the 4th season? Feels like it would be a bit of a rarity.
Why post it on the port board?C4 posted on Port Board it was ratified last night.
What would it take for you to believe ??That old saying. Anyone, anywhere.

Freo havent beaten Port at AO I dont think2 games that could make the difference in tipping comps around Australia
Hawthorn v Collingwood
I am still undecided on this one. Hawks played well for much of the game last week and without Tex probably sneak the win. Collingwood comprehensively beaten by Brisbane are harder to assess. Is it tapering is it form is it the downswing?
Day out is big for Hawks
Port v Freo
What! Really? Yes really. Home game for Port their season winding down - and while they still have 1 more home game I feel this is the one they may set themselves for . The Battle of the Baby Brothers - The Wharfie Cup
Freo should start favourites but I can be convinced Port win this
All the rest should play out as expected though Richmond might surprise
As someone pointed out a few weeks ago, the 2020 win was also technically an "away" game. A very pedantic distinction, but until last week we'd never beaten Hawthorn in a home game at Adelaide Oval.Hawks recent record is more like 15 years. 6-16 since 2010. Only beaten them once at Adelaide Oval, in 2020, which barely counts. It was a gorilla off the back.
I think it's just easier to stand out as a junior in a good team.
The likes of Harley Reid who can just walk into a non-functional side and dominate are rare as hen's teeth. Most of the time when a young kid comes into a bottom side, they are asked to take on a larger burden than they should against seasoned AFL players.
PassI love Curtin, but if you offered me Reid for Curtin right now I wouldn't hesitate to take Reid.
Reid would be so dominant alongside Dawson, Rankine, Peatling and Soligo.
