Doesn't bother me ....simply add's to the rivalry .....but knowing Port, it's the thin edge of the wedge .....next will be all home games
Nope

**** port. Bigly!

Anything those fckers perceive as being even the slightest gee-up for them in a Crows home game should be stymied by the AFC.

As a Crows supporter, I genuinely dont care or give a flying f**k if they wear the prison bar jumpers or not against us in Showdowns.

With that said, because it matters to Port I hope the AFL denies them their request.

Im petty I like that. :$

Let them have for the first time in the final Showdown of the year which is their home game.

My gut instinct tells me they will be needing the win badly, having them lose in the prison bar jumper just adds salt to the wounds, should we beat them.

I also think we are more likely to roll them in the final H&A game.

It's good to know though that they still have an inferiority complex when it comes to us even when we are down the bottom of the ladder.

They can still wear it in the changerooms.

I bet those f**kers had Prison bar jumpers lined up to be worn post match after their Preliminary Final win in 2021. :drunk:

I love how our rebuild and sitting near the bottom of the ladder has been largely overshadowed by a worldwide pandemic.

When they hit rock bottom in probably ~2 years time, AFL is going to return what it was like prepandemic.

And if I were the AFL I'd turn around and say 'Adelaide's home guernsey is dark, so you need to wear your silver clash guernsey in rd 3'

Also, if I were involved with Port Adelaide, i'd be ensuring the indigenous guernsey was worked to incorporate the prison bars.

Though, can I trademark that idea so they have to pay me for it at a latter date

What you think they're good at paying their bills?

I can't believe that the Giants made Toby Greene one of their captains.

That club has such a shit culture.

He's a player who bleeds for the club and sticks up for his mates.
Yeah, he's dirty. But that type of player would be loved by your own teammates and fans and that's the type of player you would want as your captain.
Would just be disliked by everyone else.

The funniest thing is that Port Magpies (and hence the prison bars), are part of the SANFL - who are the heritage of our club. If you look back, Port were part of it, and the prison bars have appeared in some of our past heritage round gear.

Port Power on the other hand were a new franchise with no link to Port Magpies (no matter how much Rucci tries to re-write history).

So, WE actually have a link to the prison bars heritage, not Port Power.

As such, I think we should wear SANFL guernseys on rotation in our home showdowns. We can start with the prison bars. That will be fun.

Port want to wear the Prison Bars & for everyone to accept their heritage beginnings .....so if we ask to play in the State Guernsey, I'm guessing Port will arc up

Would that be some kind of hypocrisy or not

It already happened. We wanted to wear it, Rucci got on to every old State player he could that would complain, including several Port players, and they kicked up enough of a stink that it got shut down.

Then what's good for the Goose ....is good for the Gander

NO. Never.
Our home game. Port deserve nothing.
Would they give us a promotion at their home game? Of course not.
They can p!ss right off.
Then it becomes a martyr, a rally cry, an "us vs them call to arms.

Take that away, it really is meaningless.

My attitude has always been it's our Showdown so Port have no right to ask for anything. You're the away team, you wear your away guernsey. And i'd fully expect they'd do the same if we asked to wear something different in Ports home Showdown.
See this gives them more of a right.

Their home jumper is the State jumper rip off they have never won a flag in.

The AFL allows teams to wear different jumpers away. Why should this particular design be any different to designs other clubs use as clash/away strips?

It looks like Collingwood, who cares. Clash jumpers often look like other club jumpers, or have no resemblance of the home jumper. Us in white?

To me the PB should be treated like any other design that is not a home jumper.

Let them have it, wear it often and take the "mystique" away from it. It becomes another one of the many jumpers they have worn since 1997. This annual "fight" is exactly what they want.

Coniglio's form hasn't been at the level and instead of just demoting him, they've added two more "captains", one of them being Toby Greene. 🤦‍♂️

He got himself banned from finals for completely selfish reasons.

He doesn't bleed for the club, he doesn't give a shit about anyone but Toby.
