Well yeah I would like to think that is a given right now.It won't matter if they don't change their culture and get a decent coach. They are awful given how stacked their team is.
A decent coach and they should be top 6 comfortably.

Agree with most, but saying Houston doesn't impact games is incorrect. One of the Port posters claimed "once we get rid of Hinkley, we're firmly back in the premiership picture"
Clearly they have learned nothing from this year
Even if they get rid of Ken the fact remains that their squad isn't anywhere near where they think it is and their senior players are cooked.
Their biggest issue has been obvious for a while, they have a massive talent gulf in terms of middle aged players because they spent a large part of the mid 2010s trading away a lot of their first rounders.
This year has proven the their next tier of players ie Willem Drew, Dan Houston and Karl Amon (who had one fluke season) are massively overrated and nothing but B graders who do not have a massive influence over games. Throw in other guys like Mayes, Bonner, Farrell etc and their list is not going to be winning a flag anytime soon.
There's no premiership awaiting the next coach, instead they're going to have to do a massive clean out and then try and build a premiership side via the draft around Butters, Rozee but that's most probably about 5-6 years away.
We dodged a bullet in terms of Port not winning a flag after we lost the 2017 granny. It would have been bloody intolerable. And both those years they had the dream run with fixtures and injuries, we all know a bit of luck is required to win the premiership, hence why they are so difficult to win but they were truly blessed by the footy gods and now it's time for them to get the rough end of the luck to balance out. The bender by Dawson is only the start.
Because the Power is a plastic franchise. I think Hinkley will go sometime in August - that's sacking season.

Agree, would be comfortably leading their B&F right now.Agree with most, but saying Houston doesn't impact games is incorrect.
He almost single handedly won the game for port yesterday.
Problem is with Houston's consistency, can go missing on big occassionsAgree with most, but saying Houston doesn't impact games is incorrect.

And Port Power only got to those preliminary finals due to the fixtures impacted by COVID-19 which were greatly in their favour (Dixon and DBJ were AA in 2020* WTF and how they didn't make the Grand Final in 2021** after the final series the Bulldogs had to play WTFx2) and because of that they re-signed Hinkley without taking this into account and are now struggling when the season for all clubs (except for West Coast) has been back to normal. We dodged a bullet in terms of Port not winning a flag after we lost the 2017 granny. It would have been bloody intolerable.
It's a big crowd these days.Not a big crowd for a "blockbuster"
Erin Phillips and Hatchard joining their AFLW team?Hey apparently Port have called a press conference for 3pm tomorrow
Could just be trotting out a player to talk up their next home game and express confidence in Ken, to try to stem the bleeding of low crowds
Or maybe they’re gonna give him the flick, which would absolutely improve their crowd numbers [emoji1]
Cash put now.I’m shitting myself, I have Geelong on the last leg of my 10 leg multi
