However, it remains unclear exactly what the decisive factor — the Pfizer booster, the treatment for myasthenia gravis, Covid or an undisclosed condition — was that led Dimattina to be placed into intensive care

It's unclear but let's go the covid panic headline

Hope PD gets healthy real soon

I heard Mexicans just put it in the top of the beer to ward off flies. It's us gringos who mistakenly think it's there for the flavour. Not sure if it's true but I have been over there and experienced American tourists first hand so I'm willing to believe it.
I thought it was a way to sanitize the opening.

“Former Western Bulldogs midfielder Paul Dimattina has been placed into intensive care after suffering a suspected adverse reaction to a Covid booster shot.
Dimattina, who has been receiving chemotherapy in his battle with myasthenia gravis, has reportedly been in hospital for a number of days.”

Dimmatina was a massive anti-lockdowner last year - was on skynews and in the herald sun and stuff having a sook about his restaurant being closed

hope he gets better but there is some sick kind of irony there if his covid kicks his arse any further

Yeah, pretty poor to use Dimattina's ailing health as a reason to use that headline when it clearly states within the article that it is uncertain what the actual decisive factor was.
Not unexpected though.

news.com.au are we at all surprised.

The sooner those tabloids and company go under the better off we will all be.

Jordan Dawson

Fresh off a career-best season at the Swans, Dawson looks set to slot in beautifully at the Crows. The side may still be developing, but it now boasts one of the best one-two wing combinations in the competition with Dawson and Paul Seedsman, with the latter putting together a resurgent season in 2021 that saw him finish third in the best and fairest count. Dawson will round out an increasingly potent midfield brigade that includes Rory Laird and Ben Keays, not to mention skipper Rory Sloane. While the Crows won’t be making the eight in 2022, Dawson’s arrival should help the side become a more imposing force.

Sam Powell-Pepper

There’s an ‘if’ here; Powell-Pepper could be a huge factor for the Power if he makes good on the promise he’s currently showing heading into pre-season to cement his spot in the Power midfield group. He was out-of-favour at the backend of the year despite the side needing a bit more midfield depth to add to its premiership profile. The good news is he’ll reportedly arrive for pre-season training this week, which is ahead of schedule as a sixth year player. Off-field issues and inconsistent form have muddied Powell-Pepper’s obvious potential, so if he’s able to get everything to click in 2022, he could almost be as good as a new recruit for the Power as they look to go a couple of steps better than this year’s preliminary final thumping.

They had Jackson Mead interviewed recently and apparently Ken has told him he needs to work on his fitness.

Now this just smacks me of a guy that doesn't have a lot of idea. Shouldn't it be pretty obvious for him to work on his fitness. Shouldn't there be something else he needs to work on related to his game.
Same goes with Powell Pepper.

So Poor Campbell Chesser isn't allowed into WA so Probably won't even start training until next year, makes much more sense why West Coast and Freo selected almost exclusively WA boys.

has to quarantine for 2 weeks or legit just not allowed in at all?

The Eagles also expect Campbell Chesser will remain in Victoria at this stage after West Coast used their first pick (No.14) to select the dashing defender who grew up in Wodonga. They are waiting to see what happens with the border restrictions to determine exactly when Chesser relocates.

Didn't I read something similar with Mitch Georgiades?
Something to do with him not missing Christmas with his family and the uncertainty with WA's border restrictions?

Yeah, he's staying until Christmas because he wouldn't be allowed back in to WA if he came to SA for the start of Preseason
