That's redundant: it's already done to death on Whirlpool.Might be worth making a tv rights/ technology thread?

Samsung has planned obsolescence after about two years. Same with their phones.
Hahaha for all their huffing and puffing, AFL wrote down Ports membership figures to well under their much trumpeted figure of 60,000 after audit.

The AFL membership totals for 2022 have been revealed, with three clubs topping 100,000.www.sen.com.au
Pretty much. My house wouldn't get enough use out of Foxtel to justify it's price and the picture quality on Kayo makes it a non-starter for me. A premium version of Kayo with 4K streaming would be a nice middle ground. If Kayo had 4K AFL … and a resume option, it’d be ticketyboo!!
They are a pain in the ass to deal with, every year I have to negotiate with them for a "better deal". It's a complete waste of time and effort, but they intentionally do that so people just don't bother and pay the inflated monthly charge.
We have platinum or whatever it is called (it's the package with all channels) which they want to slug you about $130 for, but most years I manage after a lengthy phone call to get it for around $89-$99 a month.
If they lose the AFL rights, we might even consider getting rid of it. It's one of those things we've had for years, but now using it less and less each year. I only really watch the AFL, NBA and the NFL, but my wife uses it far more.

What you need to know as CHANNEL 7, FOXTEL and KAYO move to lock in new AFL broadcast deal
Under the terms of the new deal which is now expected to be finalised this week, Channel 7 and the Foxtel Group are set to extend their existing arrangements with the AFL in a move that significantly ensures the long-term success of both broadcasterstvblackbox.com.au
I asked the guy whether he wanted to bother reading his 15 minute script to me given no matter what he said I'd be cancelling. If you think they’ve been a pain in the arse so far, wait until you wanna cancel it!

Kayo app is in the LG Store???The Samsung I have would only be about 3 years old, its ridiculous. I wouldn't buy a LG again, should be able to download Apps.

Might as well fold GWS, cant keep their players, they will only ever be a feeder club.
Tarranto, Hopper and Bruhn, where is the uproar?
It’s the AFL audited ones. Pets are out but I think 3 games are in. Not sure if it includes 3 game memberships sold for the round 23 showdown.Still way too close to ours tbh
Do these figures include things like three-game memberships and dog memberships?
They’re a feeder club for the Vics. Massive leg up. Richmond and Melbourne wouldn’t have won without them.I saw one of the best posts ever on social media back when Rankine announced he was coming to Adelaide.
It went something along the lines of (paraphrased)....
"Is anyone really surprised? Both GWS and GC will never be anything more than soulless franchises that no one ever wanted. There's no light at the end of the tunnel, they've been feeder clubs for 10 years and will continue to be for foreseeable future.
This was Vlad's big parting gift to the footy world, two teams that will forever be a burden to the league and nothing more than a money pit that will never be addressed due to the AFL's hubris."
