Hearing about Rioli and Dunkley has made me laugh.

A couple of weeks ago over on the Port board they were trying to justify why Dawson and Rankine chose us over them with garbage like "the difference between them (Adelaide) and us (Port) is that they have to offer overs to get players to come to their club".

Yet we now find out that Port have put in massive offers to both Rioli and Dunkley.

So what happened to them apparently not needing to offer overs to attract players to come to them? Yep more blatant bullshit from the kings of spin, they really have zero self awareness.

I wouldn't say it's "not important". It's a huge difference. The issue is more about access to 4K content. I'd wager a huge amount of people who own 4K TVs have never actually watched anything in 4K.

Cricket is the only thing I’ve ever watched in 4K and the difference to regular HD is very noticeable

So they don't think Port Power offered Dixon, Motlop, Rockliff and Lycett overs to come to them? At least we are getting quality players with offering them overs and there is no doubt Rankine would have been offered a lot more at Port Power if he was willing to play for them so what's their reasoning we got Rankine for "overs".

Meanwhile the sport section of the news started with Port AFLW home game, massive crowd, great game etc... then went on to the AFL mens games. No mention at all of the Crows AFLW win. I mean we are only the defending champions..

Here is a challenge for everyone. Pick either Ch 7 or 9 and watch the nightly news (if you can stomach it). Each night watch the stories about Port and the Crows carefully and see what is mentioned in a positive sense and what is negative.

For instance:
Port story about possibly recruiting Dunkley - great news, could be final piece of the puzzle, considering options, wife lives in Adelaide!

Crows story about Rankine wanting to come to Crows - Crows under pressure to get deal done. Crows digging in heels. etc....

It's incredibly obvious how they deliberately change the narrative.

Watch it over the next few weeks and see.

I will enjoy the inevitable comparison over the years of Dawson and Rankine vs Dunkley and Rioli.

Most importantly is that what each Club paid should be another variable to add to the discussion.

I would be livid with the Crows if they ever paid what Port will end up paying to get those two their Club.
