The thing that annoys me most, especially if this is true, is that those Victorian callers aren’t much cop anyway.

If we were talking commentary teams the level of Richie Benaud or Marv Albert, then sure.

But for Kelly Underwood and Nick Dal Santo?

Would rather they didn’t bother and for SA games got someone local. Hell I’m sure if they asked nice, Bruce would come out of retirement for a few games at AO to commentate his beloved crows.

And just a quick glance of history will show that this weeks Collingwood v St Kilda will not be the “biggest” H&A clash between them since 66.

Round 16 2010 Coll (Second) v St Kilda (Third) in what was to be a preview of that years Grand Final (s).

This is still an early season clash in which St Kilda will most likely lose their first game of the year. Would be a big game, but not the biggest ever

What was the crowd for that match? Would be funny if it wasn't much over 50 thousand.

The forecast for Saturday/Sunday looks a bit average. If it rains a lot at Norwood Oval Saturday, Sunday could be interesting. But one day of downpour shouldn’t hopefully matter too much.

Any idea what crowds we’re expecting across the round and especially at Norwood?

To be honest, I agree. It should always be about maximising attendances.

This is why, from here on, we will play every single game of the season at Adelaide Oval. We’ve averaged bigger crowds at home than away against every team in the league since 1997, so why would we ever play an away game again? AFL should step in and make this change, for the good of footy fans!

just had a look, Saturday is sold out, but tickets available for Friday night and Sunday, but they are at the back of the grandstands, Norwood just has GA tickets available

The Vic media didn't care about us getting Gather Round initially because they weren't sure it'd be a success. It was first going to be a concept for a Sydney promotional exercise, but Malinauskas has his finger on the pulse and nabbed it.

Now that it is going to be a clear success, the Vic media are up in arms.
