There is going to be a real divide especially when most supporters want Ken gone.

Those defending Ken though ate not really doing it for Ken . It's guys like Kane and Cassisi trying to protect Chad, Hartlett, Lobbe and others.

Chad is basically unemployable in the AFL industry outside of Port. Kane isn't going to call for Ken to step down and do his brother out if a job.
It looks like those with a strong relationship with the club are "sticking fat". You can see the players love Ken, and he does seem to be a loved father figure type coach. Anyone Ollie's age and under drafted by Port have had him their entire career. Internally that club seem united behind the current regime.

Tredrea is an outsider. Not part of that group. Since retiring he has never really been involved with the club. Never helped with coaching, admin or even official PR.

You can sort of understand the reaction to a guy, albeit a club legend, having a crack at the current regime when he has never been involved.

But Tredders is correct. His club has become a cult. Success is secondary to protecting the current insular group.

And thats the way it should be

There should be a good working relationship between chairman/board, coach and players - but not to the point that Port has it where they all worship at the same church.

Decisions aren't being made for the benefit of the Port Adelaide Football Club but for the benefit of those in their positions.

The story of Port under Ken has been a good team that can't get it done against the great teams. The downhill skiier moniker didn't come up with itself.

This year, they are not in the same group as Collingwood, Melbourne or probably Carlton.

In the next bracket with Sydney, Brisbane, Richmond and Bulldogs of teams who have been up the top but hanging on and could slide very easily

It could be an interesting season with about 12 clubs with top 8 credentials.

I think your right. This is how I see it currently. Need to see how the weekend plays out. Assuming around 13 wins is the target.

Top 8 certainties
Melbourne
Collingwood
Brisbane- I still think they will win enough to at least make the top 8.

Nine teams going for five spots in no order.
St Kilda - Will drop off but four wins gives them a good chance
Carlton - As per St Kilda. The good start means they only need to go around 50% from here.
Bulldogs
Sydney
Crows
Port
Essendon
Richmond
Geelong - Need to get going soon but could see them winning enough at home to at least make the top 8.

Almost certain to miss
GWS
Gold Coast - Not playing well enough.
West Coast
Freemantle
Kangaroos
Hawks

No doubt, especially after the week they’ve had.

When you look at their losses, maybe they weren’t that bad. Red hot Pies at the G and I think we are appreciating we are pretty good if we play our best footy. Our scoring potential is immense.

I’m happy having them on the edge of the 8, they won’t make top 4 and they won’t win it.
With the 22 inside 50 differential, i read it as port got Sydney on a good day to win that game..lose 2 KPP's and not capitalise on forward half dominance. But as has been said a win is a win and up there you'd take it every day of the week....unless you want ken sacked that is🤣🤣

Buddy Franklin was Port's player.

All those I50s an couldn't score because Buddy is cooked.

Port got a gobby from the umps at the end but they were only in the game because Sydney's forwards repeatedly missed easy shots on goal. There were 3 or 4 goals they missed that were relatively simple. Buddy and Heeney both missed absolute sodas. When does that ever happen?

Like when drew and boak both missed last week from 15m out in the showdown..it happens

Anyone get the chance to watch the last minute of the game again, watch the way that with 25 seconds still on the clock, Florent turns his back on Swans players streaming down the fat side to take the kick. I mean sure, he'd have never of kicked the 40 metres they were away nfrom him but to turn your back and then not make the distance...

The Swans may brag about a no dickheads policy but they are stacked with a bunch of selfish campaigners who aren't team oriented.
Maybe this is a team instruction. Training for these scenarios I think that 40m is a kick rather than hand off

Understand your point but I wouldnt shoot Florent before knowing the plan

The player most under fire should be Mills. Started celebrating the goal and left the space Allir fell into to spoil

So let me get this straight -

A player touches a goal umpire (not even a field umpire) with no aggression - media says “he should get a week”

A player doesn’t go for a mark but bumps opposition who goes off concussed and takes no further action in the game - media says “nothing to see here”

A player raises his arms after his opponent has disposed of the ball and he makes high contact - media says “club should appeal and get off”

The first incident - no potential for injury.

The second incident - potential injury outcome is high.

The third incident - potential injury outcome is high.

No bias whatsoever with the media.

The 50m lines at the SCG are only at 45 metres - so he couldn’t even kick 45 metres for goal.

That was barely a sentence in my whole rant so personally youve completely wasted your time replying in the most idiotic rant against a post that wasnt even talking about this. It was about the whole prison bars. but you do you and keep getting triggered because i didnt go into detail about the stupidest aspect of the whole Port game day experience. My god, i know people struggle at times to read but damn!

Your first two sentences:
"The Port fans were conned." - Agreed.

"Yes the NTUA grew organically around the One Club campaign." - WTF

In between the laughing it was hard to take the rest of your post seriously after leading with that.

Why didn't you just reply "yeah, not sure why I wrote that part, don't know what I was thinking" instead you go on a bit of a tirade and finish with "My god, i know people struggle at times to read but damn!"

I literally quoted your second sentence and didn't pass comment on the rest of what you wrote.

I didn't know you had to reply to the whole of someones post, not just one part of it.

On the Port board the whole Cornes family is doing their head in

Kane is a knob who is hopelessly compromised in his blind support for Ken in the media

Chad is a knob who as their forward coach is obviously supportive of the current set up

Now Graham - who is a wrinkled old knob - has come out in support of Ken😄

Port posters want the whole Cornes clan out of their club forever! Despite the substantial role that Chad and Kane both played in their one and only flag.

As a Glenelg member who has suffered at the hands of Port many times over the years, this amuses me no end😂

PS and good win by the Bays running over the top of the p***weak Port reserves team in the last quarter this weekend

I think when you know there's less than a minute left you go back and take the shot. Don't want the siren to sound while the ball is in the air on a pass.

I thought the "hand of Hinkley" wind got hold ball causing it to dip and fall short as mentioned by the commentator, even Hinkley mentioned Sydney was kicking into the wind.

Still, beating Sydney up there is a good win.
Well, they clearly had to drag Sydney to their level to win because that game was like 2 bottom teams playing each other, Sydney had a lot of inside 50s only to kick the ball to a cooked Franklin with the ball hitting the ground and their forward laid virtually no inside 50s tackles.

Which key forward are the Swans going to poach for $1m per season?

One of the Kings? Naughton? Thilthorpe
Nick Larkey from North Melbourne would be a 60 goal a year forward with that midfield delivering to him.
