Best thing for Koch would be for Tredrea to get in

Koch controls the board so Tredders will just be pissing in the wind if he doesn’t agree

And then when a decision doesn’t go his way, he’ll have to either tow the Kochie line or quit

Tredrea can’t win. Kochie can’t lose.
Whats the very worst possible outcome here for port? as that is what i want

It’s a criticism of Warren, not the woman, you twit. She might be the loveliest woman on the planet. But Warren is a thick as s**t plank head that wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation with anyone that passed year 11.
Bullshit. As for twit, your posting indicates you shouldn’t be one to throw out that criticism

Yeah, he is certainly smarter than that. Im not sure that style of criticism adds anything.

That's a fair point. I think he will get in.

His FiveAA segment will have to be watered down. On that I think at least three times this year he went with a rumour he heard from SEN and claimed it to be his own.

Koch only “controls” the board if he has the numbers around the table. (I don’t know if he does or doesn’t, I haven’t followed the inner workings of the Port board and I suspect you haven’t either).

Don’t forget how the boards of the two SA clubs work. Koch is an appointed chairman. He was not elected by members. He’s been in that position since 2012 and also doesn’t have a term limit.

If Tredrea does get elected, depending on who else sits around that table, he could prove to be an enormous pain in Koch’s arse.

He’ll also have the added cache of being member-elected, of actually having a mandate, which he can lord over Koch, whose unelected and unlimited run as Port’s supreme leader is starting to get very Rob Chapman and Kim Jong Un-esque.

Koch doesn’t control the board, that’s just silly. There’s no mind control ray

The big thing Tredders will have is that he knows footy, most of the board - just like ours - doesn’t. I can’t see who is going to stand up to him on footy matters?

Who’s going to vote with the morning show host over him ?

And if he did, he wouldn’t have tried so desperately to keep Tredrea off it.

Make no mistake: Koch realizes on a fundamental level that Tredrea poses a significant threat to his power structure. These are very tightly held boards, it is difficult to get on them and it is even more difficult to oust someone.

Koch represents all of the dysfunction of the two SA club boards in all its ugly glory — he’s the quintessential corporate chairman, with corporate interests, and all that entails.

He’s to Port what Chapman was to the Crows.

Love Tredrea or hate him, he represents the antithesis of that.

We (SEN) surveyed the masses in our AFL Fan Survey and after thousands of votes we have a clear fan-favourite for just that! ....ICR if the number surveyed was 6K or 60K ?

If Tasmania is No.19, where should AFL team No.20 be?

Darwin – 55.3%
3rd West Australian team – 15.9%
Canberra – 14%
3rd South Australian team – 10.3%
3rd Queensland team – 2.8%
3rd New South Wales team – 1.7%

A third team in Western Australia was the next most selected response, closely followed by the nation’s capital Canberra.

Given the enormous wait list for West Coast memberships and the consistently strong crowds across what was a dismal 2023 season, there is clearly enough interest for a third team in W.A
