You would think if the Dees nosedive & miss finals with Oliver struggling, he would be easier to attract to the Crows / Dees more likely to trade.

From memory, every time he steps onto the footy field he performs. It might be more how much can we carry him off field if he is not quite right. Burgess might be the arbiter there due to his speculated close relationship he build with clarry

I think if Melbourne are moving him on then they must bear the brunt of their decision ie either we pay his salary but draft picks arent prohibitive or we give our 2 x 1sts and they pay half his wage

They would suffer from wanting to be rid of him ( if that was the case)

Yeah, if they are looking to trade him at the end of next season, it's likely his trade value would have dropped.

You raised an interesting point here, if he does go off the rails with Melbourne, should we really be forgoing much in terms of trade assets and or salary cap (with Melbourne paying a part of it)?

The fact that we are taking on his contract from Melbourne, should arguably be almost more than enough for us to take him. Although Im sure this will not be the case and the Demons will want prized draft picks.

Has to be more to this, just come out say what you're really upset about.

The news report is either doing him a major disservice, or it's accurate and he legit is sooking about how they have listed the medals in a book.

It's just a strange report. They say he wants the record corrected, what does that look like?

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that there may be more to this dummy spit.
There's maybe something else that's been bubbling away.

It's a coffee table book no one is going to read, he's willing to throw away his hall of fame and the end of the ground named after himself for this?

Lets hope so..I mentioned earlier on that next showdown, we should rotate these 3 on him - Pedlar, Rankine then Keays - firstly to soften him up in the tackle (Pedlar), next to out skill him around the ball (Rankine) then when he is sore and tired, have a gut runner to expose him on defence (Keays). after all take out Rozee, Butters and JHF as factors and Port are nothing

I think we should treat them exactly the same as the last two showdowns.

Think Butters will weigh up his options - can either go as RFA if Port are starting to drop off or stay if they are still strong. Think it will be the former and not the latter.
