Hawthorn have had pick 13, 6, 7, 7 and 5 over the last five seasons

They took Denver Grainger-Barras with pick 6 in 2020, missing a whole bunch of decent players available to them

They took Josh Ward one pick before Jye Amiss and a few picks before Wanganeen-Milera. Did the academies impact that decision making?

The other selections were barely impacted at all by academies, they might have taken the player one pick before in most of those drafts

Absolutely. Too play in an era that included Garry Ablett Snr and Lockett and walk away as equal to those two and having won a premiership says a lot about what a genuine superstar Dunstall was. Was lucky enough to grow up and watch that era closely.

Why the **** are they the only club to list themselves as.. "Port Adelaide-EST 18,700,000,000 B.C when Moses parted the seas only to reveal Alberton Oval", on the 'Clubs' page? (when simply 'a name' is satisfactory for 17 other clubs)

Ours (by comparison) I had to actually adjust the brightness to see what it was.. Yes partiality as ours sucks but are the raptor spikes really the most recognised part? I'd of thought a glowing eye...or a throbbing beak! at the very least.Grrrrr.

The eye is definitely in ours, it's just obscured by the text. It'd be visible if we were the home team, or even if we played first or third.

Yep, if the greatest of them all Tony Lockett had not been in the same era, Dunstall might be talked about as the best ever full forward, but a champion of the game nevertheless.

Remember him saying he used to love it when he looked up to see D Jarman with ball in hand as he would just hit him lace out without breaking stride..awesome side that late 80's early 90's hawks side

Inside 50s weren't recorded until 1998 according to AFLTables.

4 coleman medals to 3, kicked over 100 more goals and played only 12 more games, won a brownlow, 5 times all australian team to 2 times and kicked more goals than any other player in VFL / AFL history

we can agree to disagree but the accolades show a pretty 1 sided picture
