Man, the 2000s NHL games were fun as hell. I used to try and injure as many opposition players as possible to the point where they had to forfeit.

I think there might've been something wrong with me.

Why anyone would bother to block another poster is beyond me. If you don’t like what they say, don’t bother to respond to their drivel. And anyone on here who doesn’t think any poster at times doesn’t post drivel needs to see a shrink or go to the Politics Board.

Bartel did an analysis of the game against Brisbane, where he showed the obvious tactical differences in how they approached the wet conditions.

Leigh Matthews (clearly a conflict of interest here) then said this is on the players, and absolved Fagan of any tactical wrongdoing.

BTW Leigh also said Sam Draper wasn’t HTB, in fact, he should’ve got a free for in the back.

The moral of this post (which quite frankly escalated quicker than I expected) is that Leigh Matthews is going senile.

What are we?

I guess North? Currently dogshit and haven't achieved anything since the 90s.

Not many teams have achieved the ultimate success since the 90s and I wouldn't put us in the same tier as North. The two most dominant and consistently successful clubs over the last 20 years are undoubtably Geelong and Hawthorn (Geelong probably a few rungs above the Hawks now given their ability to never really bottom out). Collingwood not too far behind but haven't capitalised as much. Eagles then that next tier down given their consistently strong seasons (prior to 2022) and 2 flags from 4 GFs.

Richmond were very good for a 5 year stretch and made the most of it but have otherwise been absolute shit. Brisbane, Sydney and Port always tease during the minor rounds but continually fail when it matters. Adelaide used to tease during the minor rounds and fail when it matters most but have now been shit for 7 years.

GWS haven't made the most of an insane amount of help from the AFL via the draft. It's taken Carlton 16 rebuilds and 20 wooden spoons to even get to a point of just making finals. Bulldogs had one out of the box season but have otherwise been average to shit. Melbourne very good the last 5ish years, but seriously bad for a long time before that.

Gold Coast are meh. Freo are meh. Saints are meh. North are meh. Essendon are meh.

Leigh Matthews is also of the belief that Gather Round gives the Crows/Power an unfair advantage but at the same time he has no interest in calling out Collingwood or Richmond having multiples games in a row at the MCG. He’s quite clearly losing his marbles pretty quickly.

Just pinched this from FB.

Using a metric of a span of 100 games (for consistent shithouse performances) and considering just matches after 1900 because the early Saints were atrocious its the North Melbourne team from 1926 R8 to 1931 R17 who went 10-1-89 with a percentage of 60.7% (5797 for, 9553 against).
If the current team can lose there next 12 matches they will be 10-0-90 making them the worst team in 125 years of V/AFL.
PS-Also remember that one of those wins cost them Harley Reid.

I thought my post explained fairly well where I rank all teams, not sure why you just quoted the first sentence.

Our closest comparison is not North. They are 10 games away from being statistically the worst side in the history of the game. While we have severe problems atm, certainly not at those levels.

North just avoided the spoon in 2020, won the spoon in 21/22, stupidly didn’t tank in the last game of 2023 to avoid the spoon and look like again winning the spoon in 2024. They are by far and away the worse side this competition has seen in the modern era.

Yes I did for awhile but think moreso due to political discussion not footy.

I don’t see it as a badge of honour not to and I also frequent a stock market online trading chat forum and don’t ignore anyone but as you say just scroll thru their posts.
