There's every chance they could do better just by not having to carry that squib Gibbs. They should adopt a no man buns policy to officially kick off the rebuild.

I found it sickly fascinating. Thrashings are boring but that game was something else.
Yep, can remember listening to it on the radio at work as it happened with a certain macabre interest.
I think if you didn't watch/listen to that game without at least one part of you hoping we'd get done by 200, then I'd say you weren't really invested in our horror years.

Funnily enough I consider the Dons loss worse. The Geelong game was in Geelong, midway through the year, shit day and time...it was more notable for the after effect.

The Essendon loss was live on 7 in front of 65000 at the MCG on a Saturday night.

The only time I've seen a team chip it around the backline like that is if they're getting absolutely trounced and want to have a few touches to slow the game down. Sydney? Defenders were bored and feeling left out.
If they get out to 60-70, Horse should swap forwards with backs for the luls.

So did we hear Carey before the game said he'd pick Cameron over Hogan to build a team around but he might change his mind by the end of the season.?
I missed that if he did. I did hear him say he hopes Sydney doesn't become too Buddy focused as it would detract from the team play. I bet he used to hope that at the Kangaroos all the time...
