I'm quite looking forward to NM v Coll today, but have got no idea who to tip. Right now I've thought the Pies might just get up, but what are everyone's thoughts? Things are pretty tight in the ol' office tipping competition so a game like this is pretty important.

Nope, but if someone's offended by somebody showing that they're proud to be black they probably are.

If the bed sheet fits.
If toumpas comes put this week and does the zorba after kicking a goal do you reckon everyone will go "isn't he proud of his Greek heritage that's great to see"? No, they'll say look at this idiot get on with the game of footy.

I love the fact it's indigenous round and that it's recognized and celebrated. But I reckon it's typical of goodes to make it all about him and that's why I don't like him.
I don't like Goodes being booed, and I didn't mind the war cry celebration either.

The only matter for relevant discussion on it, is whether it could be considered as inciting or intimidating the crowd at all - particularly as he directed it to the Carlton supporters.

When the kiwi guys do their pre-game Hakka, they direct it to the opposing team - not the crowd.

The only thing I'll say is that I would have enjoyed his celebration a lot more if he had directed it to his own supporters. I think in hindsight that would have probably been more appropriate, all things considered.

Why is he being booed, and when did it start?

I think in isolation someone doing this type of thing is meh. Throwing imaginary spears at opposition fans is a daft thing to do, but whatever. However, as it's the Precious doing these things, pretty hypocritical of him. Preaching understanding because he's offended people as a 34 year old bloke who has charged at opposition fans in a war dance when he's also publicly humiliated a teenage girl and had her thrown out of the ground for something that's offended him... ordinary. If he really wanted love, peace and understanding he'd have had someone look up the girl after the game for a sit down pow wow instead of pointing her out to security guards.

I wonder what public office he's planning on running for post-football career because all this attention-grabbing shit he does must have a purpose. Never seen a bloke in football so fond of jumping on his own bandwagon.

Spud Caddy spraying them set shots straight in front….

Now to a completely different subject:

Collingwood or WCE? Title of the biggest flat track bully in the league? Pies year of flat tracking has been outstanding, they get the nod for me.

I think we have improved ourselves to slightly above road kill so it will be very interesting next week.

Come on Collingwood you muppets. 7 in a row, another MFC-esque meltdown. We're not alone :rainbow:

Is it just me or are huge momentum swings really prevalent this year?
Yep, amazing the comebacks.

New poll: More Gutless and mentally fragile when the going gets tough?

Melbourne vs North?

Now that i think about we from round 4 to now (excluding freo) we have played rebounding sides
Fun Fact #2: This week was the first week we didn't play a team who was, at the time, in the top 8 (GC counted due to alphabetising). Next week will get the trend back on track.

Brad Scott done? Where can he go from here?
A lot higher up the ladder, or a lot lower. He's taken them to the perfect middle it would seem (or as near as possible in an 18 team comp). Not good enough to get to the top; not bad enough to be in the doldrums. The axe must be hovering above he and Hardwick (despite Richmond's past couple of weeks).

Should be. North have some reasonable players but they're such a simple footballing side. Game plan revolves around the mids winning the ball and putting it on the boot straight away, and having big blokes up front to take the marks. All they do is get the ball moving forward - it's not often someone gets hit lace out on the lead. Explains Scott's love of playing 3 bigs up forward and down back.

I don't know, i think we pack it in as good as anyone when it all gets a bit hard.
I can see where you're coming from, but I put that down to more being shit than being gutless. Thought we responded well in all our wins this year, we were challenged in every game and rose to it each time. GWS and Port just ran us over because they are much better than us (Though we do have a few players I wouldn't back in to pull through in a big moment).
