Is that what now three prime-time home games for Geelong in a row? I must be an outlier in terms of the general football watching public but I couldn't give less of a **** about watching the dangerwood show every Friday night. Prefer variety over the same old, give me Brisbane v Carlton or whoever else.

Hate listening to BT and Bruce continually fap over the same players. It's like they only need to remember about ten player names

I expect Channel 7 love primetime games in Geelong as the ground has limited capacity, so they get more tv viewers. Geelong would rate well anyway as they are a successful club who have only missed finals once in the past decade.

And channel 7 would agree with you 100% on that and I'm guessing most of the footy public. I'm probably on my own but I reckon there would be a few in my camp that get sick of seeing the same old teams battle it out time and time again. It's like every Friday night channel seven running a different Bruce Willis movie when just for once you'd like to see a Denzel flick or a crazy Japanese revenge thriller. The game of AFL is big enough and diverse enough to sell itself. All teams have guns and every team save for Brisbane is capable of pulling off an enthralling victory on their day. Just tired of Bruce continually pumping up the over inflated tyres of the same poster boy players

Yeah I'm with you mate ... firstly it's ridiculous the amount of prime time games they give some clubs. All this about equalisation coming out of the pockets of the clubs, when they've got a means of helping it along themselves seems a little off really. I get that they want good contests on in those time slots, but every year without fail you'll have a couple of blowout games that bore the pants off everyone anyway, a few years back when they gave Carlton 6 Friday night games, while everyone could see they were going to be complete rubbish.

As for the commentary, I'm about done with it ... the wankfest is unbearable

Funny you mention them. I dont think I've watched a single Brisbane game this year.

The AFL says this but clearly don't think it to be true by their actions.

Really, compared to proper comps, we all the know AFL is a bit of a backwater farce. Until we either play everyone once or play everyone twice, it always will be in my book. I'll still watch though, and maybe that is part of the problem.

The need to have 2 'derbies' every year (Adelaide, Perth, Sydney), the need for essendon to play the other 'big' clubs twice a year etc is all BS. If anything, and they'll eventually figure this out, too much of that stuff actually dilutes its value and significance. Just trust in the game, stop stuffing around with the rules every time something happens that wasn't in the script of the 'perfect game', and let the chips fall. Guarantee in a couple years time it will be less plastic and more meaningful. Let things develop, stop forcing it.

Mark Robinson is a deadset disgrace.
It highlights how poor the media is. He savaged Frawley and Mcguire over the Caroline Wilson incident last year and demanded them both be fired and made an example of despite it being what I consider a poor poor attempt at humour. He then actually questions someones mental health and justifies it by saying it was a poor choice of words despite not giving his fellow media people the same grace.

He doesn't give a **** about what he said about Alex fasolo he just wants to appear to be on the right side of the media storm.

Saints by a long way. Have young keys at both ends and depth in the midfield. 2 first round picks this year as well. If they had Trac instead of McCartin I'd probably rate their list higher than ours
Saints moving back to Moorabbin could be attractive to players, a lot live around those areas.

What an absolute peanut. While the fact that he's a media personality is bewildering in itself, how he couldn't work out himself that that is a wildly inappropriate thing to tweet is beyond me.

He's gone full blown Trump on this one, it's actually surprising there isn't a "covfefe" on the end.

Well ... this is interesting.

There are two Hawthorn's this year. There is the ones that will rise to the occasion with a point to prove ... and then there is this one. The majority of their list is either too old or too young for the consistent effort week to week.

Port's list of wins was also quite intriguing ... Sydney, Freo, Carlton, Brisbane, Gold Coast ... otherwise known as 15th, 7th (with a terrible % and while they were playing awful football), 17th, 18th, 16th and Hawthorn are 14th. Not sure if people should be getting too carried away with them just yet.
