I remember day 1 of WAFL I stood with my arms folded in the huddle at training...

I copped a spray, had to do 50 pushups, ran laps the whole night and didn't get a game that weekend.

Make no mistake, higher-level football is likened to the military. I can guarantee Hill was being roasted by Lyon for standing with his arms folded.

You could be on the money there, Lyon does then turn and deliberately put his arms behind himself which is almost the opposite pose from crossing them.

The AFL shouldn’t give GCS a priority pick; they had enough top picks, another 1-2 won't make any difference. GCS cannot be fixed by priority picks - will remain at the bottom for the foreseeable future unless they relocate.

I can't believe the hype that has suddenly appeared for the tigers. They have lost three out of their last 5, only beating St Kilda and Gold Coast. I hope we can head over there in a couple of weeks and show them exactly where they sit.

They're getting a lot of hype because they've got about 7 of their injured players back I guess.
Apart from Rance, only Reiwoldt and Nankervis out I think.

They still have a tough run home but will be hard to beat at the G methinks.

The eagles are just a well oiled machine. A club culture built around success. Once the wheels start to fall off, Jeppy is on the phone, Nisbett's called in the board and plans are being discussed. Long term "rebuilds" are not accepted.

There was genuine pressure on Adam Simpson in 2017 because the eagles weren’t delivering, and that was a year that they won a final. Meanwhile we announce rebuilds and post tables of how old our list is to explain away shortcomings. Very frustrating juxtaposition.

A couple of Purples supporters that don't drink the Kool-Aid. But as long as the majority of the supporter base and more importantly the club itself bases its values on 'we're not the Eagles!' then they will never find the ultimate success.

This, on the other hand, was posted by a well known poster at half time who really should know better.

Only interest left is seeing how much we can lose by, seeing what weird and wonderful ways the umps can find to screw us, and the faint hope that Gaff might leave on a stretcher.
