Nah Bombers don't like tanking. They want to win. Just ask 1965 Premiesrship player Gerald Gersthwaite who thinks that he can coach better than todays coaches. He was quoted as saying "You would never have seen us tank back then...sure we basically bought players and therefore premierships but no tanking...now here is the reasons why you need to just kick it forward all of the time"

I thought this next draft crop was supposed to be pretty decent? And it's the last draft before Tazzy takes every second kid in the first round.
That seems to be every year these days.
Watching some NFL at the pub (ok apparently it’s college football). Crazy some of the body shapes that rock up to play American football. This guy is playing American football and he's got a beer gut.
Do like the lack of advertising on the kit, but also bizarre how some guys are wearing long pants, others are wearing shorts, some are wearing shorts with compression gear underneath. Clearly not as hard line as the AFL is.
Don't understand the game at all either. Too much down time.

The big blokes are your defensive line. They basically just try to stop the opposing offense from running through to a spot to receive the ball.
But yes, I think some of the body shapes that are passable in the NFL are a joke.

Im pretty much a one man fan in AFL these days.
I look at NFL and recognise that it’s substantially different to rugby, but I’m also left wondering why it’s different to rugby.
Is it just the standard contrarian approach Americans had taken to distance themselves from the British in the same vein that they spell colour without a u and call their mothers mom?

All American sports are rubbish, they spend more time talking about what they are going to do than actually doing it. They mostly have short bursts of action followed by lots of nothing. Hockey maybe the exception but I'm not sure they invented that.

American sports are 4 hours of ad breaks and time-outs and occasionally you'll get 2-3 minutes of the ball being in play. Can't stand it.

My issue with ice hockey is the puck and rink are tiny and the players and protective gear they wear are huge. All adds up to not being able to see a ****ing thing.
Ice hockey was saved by big tvs and high def. Completely changed the watchability
Also. NFL has its moments. But Jesus.

Like a guy caught a throw from 5m away ran off to boundary line and was getting high 5s.
