Mike Sheahan has name 40 of his top 50 and both gaff and Priddis haven't made it. There's no way those guys will finish top 10. It's a huge joke he has Darcy Moore and Patton over a guy like gaff or Priddis.

Seriously though, if Gaff were playing in a Victorian team he'd be universally recognised as a top line mid. I think he needs to kick more goals to elevate the esteem in which he's held over there. Big year for him.

Jon Patton is by far the most overrated player in the comp. Flat tracked a couple of games late in the season against a cooked Freo/North, aside from that he is barely tracking a goal a game. I only saw 50-40 but he had Moore ahead of Toby Greene which sent me out, it's 100% based on hype.

Anyone else think the Saints are extremely overrated this year? Seeing heaps of people who expect them to finish 5th or 6th this year. I personally don't see it. They're well balanced and have some impressive youngsters but lack any genuine superstars and aren't renowned for performing well away from Etihad.

Yeah. Think you've described them well, could sneak into finals this year but I don't think they have the upside to ever push the top 4 or anything. Ultimately after all these years of drafting Steven is their best mid and they don't have anyone looking like getting to that level. Steele is a solid pickup but Dunstan is pretty limited, Acres is a talent but hasn't looked like putting it together and Billings is essentially LeCras in the midfield. There are some nice pieces but there doesn't seem to be anyone stepping up to that next level. The forward line is the same, Bruce/Membrey/McCartin look nice but none look like pushing elite. They had a run of form at the end of last season which has led to the hype I think
Maybe this season they are a tad overrated but they are building a very good list and will be amongst it very soon

Thoughts on Adelaide v GWS? Both teams with key players injured/underdone. I think home ground advantage might see the Crows over the line though.
People are getting a little bit carried away with the youngsters and the preseason games.
They will win games this year and look really good, but as is often the case with younger sides, they will struggle with consistency at times. Expect big things in 2018 if they keep projecting the way they are.
