I bet the AFL execs are sitting in a small room pulling each other off over the Scum's entry into the finals. I bet Gill has just bought a case of frangers for their collective orgy tonight. The felatio will also be strong in the Vic media tomorrow. They must all be stoked. campaigners.

Imagine if they do well, the amount of "heroes" being thrown around by the media will be disgusting

So, with Richmond up by 8 goals, fair to say we'd rather finish 8th than 7th. How much would we need to win by to overtake Essendon? 7 goals?

So a win between 24-40 would be preferable.

It's ok, we all know that at some point your guys will **** it up as mediocrity and ineptitude has been in Melbourne's DNA ever since they sacked one the games greatest ever coaches in the mid 1960's. That was over 50 years ago when you won your last premiership

You've only made finals 12 times in the 52 completed seasons since then and not once since 2006. We've been there 21 times in 30 years

And even if you don't choke in 2017 to actually make the eight or even the GF we know you'll embarrass yourselves after losing the only two you've played in half a century by a combined 156 points

We've eliminated you from finals the last 3 times we've met. You were even the first team to lose a final to Fremantle

So enjoy you're little run because it'll end soon enough - what's softer than Clayton Oliver?

Melbournes history since colour TV was invented that included a fine for tanking and a vote agreeing to merge with Hawthorn

This is even better knowing that Jetta practically carried us into finals in the last quarter at that poster's expense.

Any chance of a link to that post, Keys?

I was really hoping that the Pies would reward Buckley with a new contract for the team's good late season form, and damned if they didn't do it. Took a premiership side to 6 straight seasons of a slow downhill slide, and gets a two year contract for his work. :tearsofjoy: Only disappointment is that the contract isn't longer.

They were never going to sack Buckley - anybody else with his record would have been sacked by the half way mark of this season or may be even last year.

Jonas will miss Ports first (and hopefully only) final because of his bad record due to the Gaff hit. Would have only got a week but its upped to two with his bad record. Karma, footy gods, whatever... sucked in.
So.... the footy gods are real. He misses our final :)

I told someone after the news broke that this decision is more or less the antithesis of St Kilda sacking Malcolm Blight. My god do boards get sucked in easily by the promise of a rebuild.

Good to see McGowan ******* the turf for the AFL opener by scheduling the NRL or all the stupid things to open with a double header.
Absolute idiot doing that. Being an AFL state we reserve the right to do so. Melbourne or Adelaide won't do that and the NRL states would never let AFL open a brand new stadium.
