WOW, crows must really rate next years draft to give up 2 first rounders for give a third rounder next year and a potential second round pick upgrade next year. Blues would be laughing. Gibbs is 28. Crows engine room next season looking damned impressive.

Trade was weird, but it helps blues secure matt kennedy and crows increased their chances of another crack at the premiership in 2018.
Crows also have 2 1st rounders next year in a supposed superdraft thanks to lever.
Crows did the right thing here.

Absolutely ridiculous, no matter how long he re-signed for, he's simply not worth that.
They already got a bargain for Wilson, he's probably worth a bit more than the price we paid for Wellingham and Redden.

Wilson isn't that good but I do agree they made off like bandits in that one. Just like the Bennell trade too.

Weller would be a huge get for GC but they can sit back for a year imo. No one is expecting GC to make finals next year and Weller is still only 21.

Lobbe goes to Carlton for pick 95. Backup for Kruezer really.

Sam Gibson to Adelaide is an interesting one. Definitely not best 22 and won't improve the midfield. Just experienced depth.

I can understand it from GC perspective - here they have a young talented midfielder who actually wants to play for them; I imagine all the answers from the likely top 3 might have suggested they may walk in a couple of years.

But well done freo- held their nerve and got it done. Given how they have made some horrible trading decisions in their history, one was bound to come their way eventually.
