Just read in the sotry about the new "menu" that you can bring in soft drink, bottled water & snacks.

I never do, but I reckon last season, & before, you weren't allowed to bring any drinks other than sealed, bottled water. There were always people checking bags at the gate. I thought cans weren't allowed, maybe they still aren't??
You can get small bottles of soft drink etc. I'd guess cans would be banned like at the cricket- they are a safety hazard apparently.

Wonder if Paul Little has sold Essendon as part of the deal with the sale of Toll Holdings to Japan
Either that or Little is cashing up to pay the Dons pending fines or a pay out to Hird.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but what was Lumumba/O'Brien thinking?!
https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/afl/a/26737115/lumumba-revelation-adds-to-afl-drug-headache/
The rollercoaster career of Melbourne recruit Heritier Lumumba took another twist last night when it was revealed he sought a special ruling from the AFL regarding the league’s controversial illicit drugs policy and exposure to cannabis.
It was reported on The Footy Show that Lumumba went to the AFL in late 2012 or early 2013 seeking clarification on his personal circumstances in relation to the illicit drugs policy.
Lumumba, who was still a Collingwood player at the time, wanted authorities to clarify what would happen if he tested positive to cannabis due to passive consumption. Possible reasons for the request included that Lumumba has links to Rastafarian people, who are believed to use marijuana.
The AFL released a statement saying no player had ever been granted an exemption under the illicit drugs policy.

Couldn't believe it when i read that aye..

Definitely ridiculous. However, I'm watching the Melb v. Essendon game and they are tied at 3QT. Dude isn't a great player by any means but he does stand out in that team as one of the cleaner players if nothing else.

Melbourne won't be barging up the ladder anytime soon but I don't think they'll be at the very bottom this year.

Melbourne have recruited pretty well under Roos getting in experienced big bodies to do the grunt work and protect all those young players .

Yet still couldn't beat an understrength team with players from the VFL?

Collingwood have had a massive exodus and their replacement players are poor or young
