ASADA decide not to appeal the 34 players verdict, what a complete waste of time that was then.

Only if WADA doesn't appeal. We'll find that out in the next 3 weeks. There are good reasons for ASADA not appealing (heard by AFL tribunal again) and leaving it for WADA (heard by Court of Arbitration for Sport).

I would be very surprised if WADA don't appeal

Does anyone else think it's crazy that you can hook someone at work, not get fired or cop an assault charge.

Yep I find it strange. It's assault but its ok he will miss playing some games.
Assault is always unacceptable but unless you work for a company that allows employees to shirtfront each other while picking product or jump with your knee into someone's back to get the client, comparison of workplaces are not relevant.

Just don't touch the umps its equal punishment.

Yeah everyone will say "two grown men going toe to toe" sort of thing, but you don't, or at least shouldn't have to, expect someone to throw a punch like that on a football field. It isn't boxing.

If Chappy didn't have a fist full of his jumper he would have been on his arse and it would have looked much worse.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Yarran tried to hold Chapman up too when he realised he was going to fall down. 3 weeks seems pretty fair IMO given yarran's previously good record. It's not like Yarran "Stakerised" him.

Not really, since AFL is a unique workplace. I don't know about you but my workplace doesn't involve getting physically pushed to the point of exhaustion on a regular basis, being yelled at in public by my boss if I **** up and showering with my colleagues.

My job doesnt involve a national audience and i dont get payed 500,000 a year.

I think most people except that
But that job still says belting someone isn't legal they just apply their own rules.
When you read the article on AFL about the old Collingwood player whacking the Bomber player and see what affect it has on people's life well after the fact.
The perpetrator missing a few games of football after doing so isn't really upholding community standards.
I'm not gonna jump and down about it but it is a strange area of our society where the law can be broken and different rules apply

I call bullshit on this. I find myself thinking assault is a viable solution every time im i have to discuss football with a freo, carlton or essendon supporter.

Rumour Will Minson will be dropped by the Bulldogs this weekend, big call by Beveridge.

Even bigger when you consider that the mega-spud Cordy will now lead their ruck.

My run out of cash and Leuy has been dropped DT selection of Cordy is looking much sharper if this comes off!

Will killed it against us I thought...has he been poor in R2 and R3?

Was at the Dogs v Tigs game. He played alright, did some silly things, but it was mainly won of half back for them that day, and of course by Bont.

Just quietly i'm expecting Cordy to triple his output with Minson out of the side, he should end up with 21-30 this week
