I thought the same last year but if you are out of form (Geelong) or hit with injuries (Fremantle) you're going to be vulnerable in semi finals.
What I'd like to see change is teams making the GF after losing their QF. Haven't seen it happen since I think 2006.
Possibly just my bias against Port. Can't stand a single thing he says, or his face.
