go watch replays, its different. They are facts. shuey flings his head while dropping his knees with no intention of playing on. its high tackle or bust. walters keeps his feet and often gets free and plays on. free kick is an added side bonus. Hes getting better at it to. often gets free to dispose of the ball now hes getting stronger.
Yeah sure pal!

Hodge tries to clean up an already injured player high with his arm. S'alright Hodgey, you're a good bloke, we can see it's an open hand. No harm done! FFS match review panel, this was as malicious as the Thomas one.

Hodges one was also intentional more-so than Thomas

#Go North! supporters are on a rampage of "show us some respect" self righteousness with their 6-0 start.

They are setting up beautifully to be the next Fremantle.
I can see where North fans are coming from, but demanding respect from opposition supporters is a bit like pissing into the wind for futility purposes. Hawthorn have won 3 flags in a row and our respect for them is nowhere near what it should be.

Footy supporters in general greatly enjoy seeing other teams fail and become annoyed when they don't.

I blame the meeja and their continual rimming of all things Hawks and they have some ordinary characters held up as beacons *coughgoodblokecough* and of course injunction

Hell of a team but I definitely dislike them more than Geelong and Brissie when they were similarly dominant.

If we had Luke Hodge in our team we'd be gushing all over him and defending his actions to the hilt and you know it :p Ok...so the Vic media would probably have him in prison for life by now, but given how little we respect them (the vic media), why does that colour our opinions?

Let's face up to it that we were ok with Brisbane because they weren't Victorian, and we were ok with Geelong because we've beaten them in two grand finals. We've lost two grand finals to Hawthorn so we invent non sporting reasons for hating them with a passion.

There can be only one...

I think some of our supporters are getting sucked in by baiting. There are some nonsensical comments made about us and there isn't anything wrong with calling out BS, but we have had two decent wins this season against the Crows and Dogs to date and we have a challenging fixture yet to come, how we go against the rest of the potential contenders, especially on the road, will largely determine where we end up and if we are a shot at contesting or not.

I am happy with being 6-0 but I think we were defensively sloppy in the first 5 weeks, were much better against the Dogs and we were wasteful with the ball use and turned it over too much against the Dogs which led to a relatively low score.

I think we are travelling about 65% of capability atm, we need to move that to about 80% and strike a good balance between attack and defence. Our ball use needs to be cleaner, atm we provide too much opportunity for the opposition to get into the contest or back into it from a good position due to poor turnovers and it is difficult to rate a team too highly that turns over the ball to the extent we have to date.

On a positive note, we have been notoriously slow starters (like Richmond), much happier being 6-0 than 1-5.

Yeah...I think your team is travelling quite well for this time of year. They have my grudging and somewhat annoyed respect.

Far too rational Tas.

Are you sure you are a North supporter?

There was nothing decent about your win against the Dogs.
You were putrid. It's just that they were worse and have some really dumb footballers which hurt them on Friday.
Sure you'll take the four points, but it's not at all a good indication of form atm.

I thought their defence was sound v a fast running Doggie outfit on that deck?

Only scored 45?

Ya nah, I don't see another 35% improvement coming from your already overachieving geriatrics.

Good start, so you'll finish well and from there I suppose anything is possible, but you're already getting everything out of the formally spudly Waite, Petrie, Brown you name it. You wouldn't want a lull in form or injury to any of your 28 pluses.
