Mmm, don't know about that. While he might have been a reach at 7 he always had attributes that our list needed and there was a lot of fat to cut.

Sheppard is going forward and has only played 65 games. Masten flirts with being a good player now and then, hopefully he becomes consistently tenacious under Simpson.

Watts is going backwards (or at least staying stagnant).

I think Watts still has the potential to be a decent player (good pace, nice kick) but people will have to realise that he will never be a star and I think he'll have to realise that as well.

I don't doubt that he has a decent kick etc. but he just doesn't have enough (any) heart or courage. It is why the likes of Jamie Cripps will forge out long and successful careers but the likes of him will fade away into wasted nothingness.

Nick Riewoldt unlikely to play next week after being completely KO'd vs Adelaide. Nasty accidental clash of heads and fell from his full height to the ground unconscious. Took ages for them to get him onto the stretcher. Hope he's ok.

Off to hospital for Riewoldt. He seemed careless with how he fronted the ball though. Lead with the head but not low like you usually would. Kinda looked like he was going the header in soccer on 1 camera angle.
