Feral Port fans is such an urban myth, never had a problem with either Port or Crows fans over here.
I've had a few minor problems with port fans but out of all my port and crows mates, the crow fans are more feral.

Crow fans in general are alot like ours.
Silver tops and party poopers. I was 'told' by a 70+ lady at the crows games last year. Didn't pay much attention to her as we were killing them and i was having too much fun.

Port fans in general are definitely more lower class, bogans, unemployed etc.
Much like Freo except at a much higher percentage.

Freo the area is really nice. On the water, people everywhere, restaurants, great beers and women.
Port Adelaide is the opposite except that it to is on the water.

Rodney Eade has that effect on people. I think Eade is more a stick than carrot type. He's not nicknamed Rocket for nothing. He rubs people the wrong way. I wouldn't be surprised to see a player exodus from GC.

Some interesting footage of the Suns on Footy Classified. They really are in big trouble. Zero effort, doesn't even look like they wanted to be there on the weekend. Wouldn't it be great if we could bring home a couple of their young guns.

Excellent! Phase 1 in progress. Now to swoop on Bennell, O'Meara, Swallow, Matera and Martin!

Was not on the Rance idea last year but with Browns & Emacs injury i think it would be good to get another defender and use the draft to draft more mids. But first i would be putting in a massive offer to Dangerfield and see what happens.
Nah, I'd be backing one of Eric and Brown to recover and the natural development of Barrass, as well as retaining Schofield as a KPD. Draft another KPD this year in the second or third round.

I'd be pissed if we spend big on Rance only to have Brown, Schofield and Barrass playing in the WAFL for the whole of 2016.

Let's not make a huge FA bid for the sake of injury cover. Fix our midfield and our backline will be under less pressure anyway

Still dont think gws are better though
Young mids for GWS are firing though whereas GC are/were always playing through Ablett (only 1 win with Ablett out)

I'm a big fan of Dylan Shiel and I believe he is out of contract at years end.
He's doing me proud in fantasy footy so far.

Think they will go backwards with Eade in the same way Carlton did with getting Malthouse.
Eade took a swipe at McKenna about none of the young GC lads had any concept of defensive structures and setups . They were reliant on winning the ball then their natural talent and attacking flair was making them look fantastic .
That's why they struggle without abletts ball winning ability .
Roos said pretty much the same thing about Melbourne last year and then used the whole of last season practicing defensive structures .
Look at the best afl teams in hawks , Sydney , freo , port ( when they had Walsh ) . There setup to defend and rebound .
Eade will have his work cut out for him all we can hope is for some collateral damage .

Going to Adelaide for our game against them - not expecting a win, just want to see the stadium, but if we get up I'd be stoked (and probably a little scared when leaving the ground...).

Been to a couple of games at AAMI stadium when we beat the Crowbots. The silence is Golden and one of the best feelings.

Anyone think Port are overrated?

This isn't just in relation to the two losses they've had (to very good teams).

But their record is currently 6-10 over last 16 matches with wins against WB, GC, Melb, Rich, Carl and Freo

They did look very good against Hawks in prelim, but have they been exposed?

They will be better when Lobbe comes back and they can play Ryder more up forward to support Schulz.

They seem to be missing Walsh's influence though.

Well he's hardly going to say he's out of touch with the game and all the players think he's a campaigner and won't play for him, is he?

If they lose to North on the weekend i think there will be a few doubts within the team as 0-3 isn't end of the world but it will be hard to climb back up with Fremantle proving they still have it in them to be top 4.

I think it is going to be another even year so it will keep it interesting for the season.

Can easily go 0-5. North, Crows, Hawks. Then the Eagles with the KO punch for 0-6 :D

Then they might be looking at another top 10 draft pick to add to their already stacked midfield

I think Eade will improve GC, but will piss some of players along the way, maybe a chance for us to get wa boy home.

I scored free tickets the the Port V Melbourne game at Adelaide oval.
I wasn't overly interested in the game although i do like how Port play and they are great to watch.
Anyhow took up the tickets as It was to be my first game at the new oval. We sat halfway up the southern stand so I could see everything like a hawk and Melbourne only lost that game due to inexperience.
They had port on the ropes and couldn't deliver the knock out punch. Controlled the game and ball on the outside just didn't have the guys to kick the winning goal.

Port were shit. Roo's had them worked out.
Their strong showing against the Hawks in the Prelim was typical Clarkson playing man on man and backing his team to win the ball when the game was on the line.

The rest is history. Word is they put in 15-20% more this preseason than last year and now they are all burnt out. They're a fairly young team and the young bodies don't respond to the work load like a bloke in his prime.

They play North Melbourne at Docklands. North have a day less break but played there last week so no travel.
Hinkley dropped Cornes so without Del Santo and Wells playing he might not want to tag?
Roof closed. Petrie, Brown and Waite will have the ball bombed in from one kick out of the square.
Can Port win the clearances in the ruck. Nope. No Lobbe, Goldy will smash Ryder in the ruck.

Doesn't look good for them. Tickets booked for round 6. Can't wait.
