I missed the game, but saw the highlights...BOG performance in his 150th?

He was good but his second half not as good as the first. I thought Boak & Gray were the 2 on ballers for them that stood up the most in the last quarter.

That said, over the whole game Ebert was very good. 22 possessions and 3 goals and got involved forward, back and through the middle. It's his versatility and ability to take a mark and kick a goal that'd be handy. He'd have been in the best 2 or 3 across the game.

He's also clearly a leader, who seems to do a lot of the pre-game and in game talking and organising you expect from a captain

Webb from last year's draft was one a few of us were keen on for maybe our round 2 pick. Debuting for the Bulldogs right now - made a few errors but looks like he'll be a handy player.

If that's an ACL to Bartel, then sadly I think that's the last we will see of him.

Has 3 flags, a Brownlow, a Norm Smith and will be 32 at the start of next year so what more has he got to prove coming back? Will be a sad end to a great career.

Looks like just an MCL, but he'll be out several weeks.

I disagree with the poster who said it doesn't look like Geelong have much coming after the old guard retires. Caddy has looked better this year and Thurlow is improving. Guthrie is a good young tagger. Gregson looks really quick and creative, and Cockatoo is getting a regular run at 18. Bews, Walker and Lang also chipped in with some handy play today. I actually think that Geelong are well suited to turn it around pretty quickly, with the amount of young talent they're giving regular playing time to right now. Plus once guys like Enright, Lonergan, Bartel, etc decide to hang it up, they'll have a lot of salary cap space to poach free agents or young guys who want to move back to VIC.
