Forget Coniglio, get Cripps. 33 disposals and 10 clearances. Exactly the kind of player we don't currently have.

It's an odd one, because Coniglio is more what we need, I believe, the inside outside player, who finishes well. Always been a wrap on Cripps, but Waterman coming through dictates I think we have more need for the finisher.

Coniglio isn't inside by AFL standards but Cripps is. Waterman won't be anything special and may not even end up as a midfielder. The club and supporters in general seem to have an obsession with players who gunned it for WA or in WA as young players - Coniglio, Rich etc and we should be focusing on players who fill a hole in our list and make it better.

We took Sheed at 11, Carlton took Cripps at 13.

With Cripps considered the bigger reach. But there was some foresight in that pick.

But if you want to take a trip to the dark side of the thread there has been about 400 + pages on the same sort of player on our list

Possibly just my bias against Port. Can't stand a single thing he says or his face.

I forgot how much I hated Port Adelaide until last year when Hartlett took a 'mark' ricocheting from Ezy's hands and then running around fist pumping like a flog after he kicked the goal.

Read my post again, I said inside outside, ie someone who can take the inside heat when required but can finish. You haven't seen much of Coniglio then? He can play inside, he's just not a big body and doesn't dwell at the bottom of packs. You don't want him to either.

If he doesn't end up as a midfielder what will he end up as ? A defender??

Can't stand their supporters. Someone needs to go to one of their games holding a massive banner with "Where you all when you were shit?". The hard part would probably be managing to get out of Adelaide Oval alive though..

totally agree with this. maybe a slightly faster koby stevens. but nothing special.

It has the same feel the round 1 game against the Bulldogs did. I expect us to win still, but we're still a reasonable chance to lose. They can really take our defence to the cleaners with their power forwards.
