Carlton are morons. So pretty much the new "caretaker coach" gets a free pass for the rest of the season? What incentive is there now for the players to play well?

Should have just let Mick coach out the year and announce his replacement in September. I hope they don't win another game.

On another note, let the booing of Adam Goodes continue.

GC's B team is still pretty talented, and they'll get Ablett back sooner or later. I also think Eade can turn things around later in the year (though preferably not until after they play us again).

Something is definitely wrong with that team. I'm not accurately quoting numbers but MMM radio had Gibbs, Judd, Murphy and someone else with a total of a few tackles between them.
If you're down in the dumps, getting thrashed, at least aim to lay 10 tackles each. Take St Kilda on the weekend for example. Turned a 7 goal to 1 mauling into their own run of 5 goals in a row, largely thanks to a willingness to up their tackle count and attack on the ball.

Edit, just checked, Carlton, only 35 team tackles v Geelong.
2 players in our game (Cripps 13, Steven 12) put that to shame.

Yep - play Sydney at home then the Crows and see if you get a win - Mick is smarter than that.

The team is a basket case. No leadership. Murphy plays with a C beside him but is not a leader at all.

I watched the game against the Cats last weekend from Etihad and they don't have the cattle to go anywhere quickly. Pea hearted, front running players that go home and can sleep soundly on there safety net pay packets.

I think the game passed Mick by as a coach as well. I wish him well in retirement and respect him enormously for what he did at West Coast and Collingwood. Don;t remember enough of his coaching and playing career pre West Coast and the period post Collingwood I don't want him to be remembered for

Pretty much hey, dirty onfield.

Off field politics, good on him for trying to help out his people. Better to have a wide variety of backgrounds interested in politics then party driven apartchicks and quotas. The whole racist point out thing, heat of the moment I guess. It not for me to say how someone should react in that situation since I haven't been in it.

i remember when he won his australian of the year award and maybe a few days later did an interview and said something like he did not want to be friends with eddie maguire anymore. the question was not asked, he went out of his way to bring it up...
