Ballantye is out of form which isn't helping. Old man Pav is fast approaching the end as well. Taberner is bog ordinary and Clarke isn't much better.

They will throw big money at Hogan and/or McCarthy in a few years time.
Taberner looks like a good prospect IMO but he's still young. Mayne is the other one who should be doing more.

Interestingly, Sandi has now had 102 possessions in 10 games, Naita has had 104 in 9 games. I agree with your ram it sentiment.
Yeah, but he averages 3.4 marks and Naitanui only 0.9.

Obviously marks are the best metric to judge the impact of a ruckman. Duh.

Tabs could be good but gee he looked awful tonight. Was 2011-12 Schoenmakers level of visible simple errors.

They looked stuffed and disinterested Fremantle , ....Richmond have a deep midfield , look at Cotchin / Martin / Deledio / Ellis / Miles / Edwards , Richmond have it just need to use it .

Freo aren't invincible, the last two weeks have shown that. If our form continues as it has it's going to be a very interesting derby later in the year.

A lot of passengers in the freo side tonight. A lot looked like they thought they would just rock up & get the points.

It shouldn't hurt them too much though, other than the Johnson injury, which hurts them structurally.

A reminder to every other team that if you don't go in 100% each week, you'll get rolled. Hopefully we heed that warning on Sunday.

Richmond have won this year in Pendles 200th, Fletcher's 400th, Cornes' 300th and tonight Johnson's 200th. Elliot Yeo's 50th when we play them...

Edit: Wait, ignored that the Tiges have a bye. Elliot Yeo's 51st, we're home.

Can't remember who but when Richmond played Collingwood earlier this season, one of Collingwood's players was playing his 100th game. Not sure who though.

"How can someone with these physical gifts have four games this year in which he's had 10 or less possessions?
This really ****ing shits me.

People act as if Naitanui is some kind of infinitely physically advantaged robot who only bothers to try once or twice per season, and therefore hasn't won 5 Brownlows by now.

Like there is no grey area with Nic Nat - he's either horribly underperforming, or he's at par with what should be expected of him, given he is genetically predetermined to be the greatest athlete the world has ever seen.

We weren't mentally ready, our team selection was wrong (Croz in instead of Gu), we didn't adjust well when MJ went down, and we allowed Ninthmond to dictate the tactics all through the game, apart from the middle 14 minutes of the third Q and the first 8 minutes of the last.

There's nothing more enjoyable than a freo supporter rolling out the the 9thmond lingo after a rolllin'kin' loss.

Pav's lost it, sandi never had it, and fyfe can't carry it. Freo are cooked.

I know we all hope beyond hope that this is the case, but I just can't see it, yet. They were bound to lose a few, and freo always seem like the team that drop games they never should. Unfortunately they'll be right up there come finals time.

"Whitey - It's not a definitive measure but for those still arguing the winner of the Fyfe-Dangerfield showdown, the Freo star had more than 950 metres gained from 40 touches, while the Crows gun had less than 600 from his 38. Keep in mind, only a few players have ever broken the kilometre-mark since the stat was first recorded by Champion Data in 2007.

Whitey
- No doubt Nic Naitanui's mark against Geelong last week was an absolute screamer, that perhaps no other player in the comp could have grabbed. But to say, as his coach Adam Simpson did, that it should shut up the critics is baloney. If anything, it should heighten the debate around his performances. Why doesn't he have more games as complete as his outing against the Cats? How can someone with these physical gifts have four games this year in which he's had 10 or less possessions?

Whitey - Dockers now three games clear on top of the ladder"

Ram it mate.

I'm going to use Simon White's full name in the hope that Simon White googles himself or checks this forum. He is a dead set joke of a journalist.

That or he googles "Whitey" and gets in trouble with his employer.

We get Richmond just before the bye. We can go that little bit harder knowing we have a week off.
Like Fremantle did?

They only just got over Port, Sydney and the Bulldogs too.

They are beatable, their dream injury run can't holdup forever either.

You could add Adelaide into that mix as well. Just doing enough to get wins is fine- any win is better than a loss, but having to work harder for your wins (with a game plan that relies on even contribution and hard work as a minimum) doesn't leave you much in the tank when you get really challenged.

Apart from Fyfe- who was willing his side in the contest, they didn't have too many players who stepped up last night. Not panic stations yet, but the bye will be very appreciated, I would have thought.

Over the past few years, whenever the pressure has been on the Tigers they've crumbled (start of both years with high expectations, Port final) and when they've had nothing to lose (games away to Sydney, Freo, and when they got to 3-10) they've done well. So if they are running hot coming into the game against us it could actually help us
