Damn it. I think the Bullies are shot :(

They have the makings of a great side going forward though. Inconsistency of effort or simply getting tired as the season progresses isn't a surprise.

With Essendon looking rather poor winning tomorrow could be massive.

I think even the most cautious Eagles supporter has to start getting excited.

We've only lost to Fremantle and WB, the WB being a bit unlucky. We could very well be 9-2 heading into the bye. The Port game is looking better in context, they were in good form when we beat them. We've smashed GWS, smashed Geelong - really, we've smashed everyone we've beaten.

The football has been such a pleasant surprise this year.

They have Bont and Picken out this week as well. No mids, think they will improve again once they get some of their prime movers back in.

And if it isn't already, the Friday night game at the 'G against Richmond will be a veritable blockbuster. In the spotlight, on the hallowed turf => drooling already.

You are not a cautious Eagles supporter.

8-4 I think, If this happens we should still be pleased.

Had a bit of a chuckle seeing Hird go back to the box after half time. He has been "coaching" from the boundary for a while now....
Obviously remembered who they play next week. God I would love him down on the boundary all game against us. Bet he stays up in the box all game.

We'll be playing Richmond off consecutive six day breaks with them coming off a bye. If we win that game it'll be a mighty effort.

Wasn't there a so-called "bye curse" last year (or maybe it was 2013) where clubs coming off the bye were coming out cold and getting beaten?

I think we'll lose to Richmond away, on our consecutive 6 day break. Essendon game we should win. Tomorrow against North is 50/50 imo. 8-4 or 9-3 is what I suspect will happen.
Imo it's a huge letdown if we can't get over North, we're playing consistent enough footy to get the job done (sounds like the squad enjoyed playing in Tassie last time, too). Essendon suffer from extended lapses through games, and we'll punish that. Granted that the Tigers game looks dangerous after their impressive win, but Adelaide almost rolled over against the blues; clearly last week's game rattled Freo and the Crows. How the short breaks effect us will be very important, but 10-2 is more likely than 7-5....
