An explanation for the going to the bathroom story could be that he was very drunk and we all know that drinking alcohol makes you want to go to the toilet a lot.

TBH once i get past about 10 pints im in the pisser about every 20 minutes after that (at that point im drinking pints faster than that but hey)

No excuses for his actions however im disgusted that people still consider violence towards women as some special thing. Violence towards anyone/thing should be considered completely intolerable. You punch my mate, my mrs, my kid or my dog you're going to get the same response.

Don't disagree that any type of violence is intolerable. But grouping it all together is a little naive given those statistics. Whilst so many males continue to think it is ok to abuse their wife or girlfriend physically I think it deserves it's own category and a suitable sized budget to help address it.

His behaviour is pretty consistent with stimulant abuse, from my experience with munters (being agitated, slamming hand against the wall, urge to stab).

Some crack heads were around my place once after a big night when I was a teenager (my housemate at the time was a dj and had dragged some pond scum back from the club he was playing at)...the guy started talking about how he loved his mum, but how he sometimes just had the urge to stab her....WTF

Stimulants is a bit vague. I've never seen anyone act in that manner on ecstacy - also have DJ / producer friends. I get your point though, crack heads often act like that, can be seen cruising through Northbridge all puffed up and looking for trouble, no front teeth from too much pipe, alas no front teeth to be knocked out if it kicks off

Yeah I meant meth/speed/coke.

"Ecstasy" hardly classifies as a stimulant these days - the last handful of times I've tried what people claim to be "MDMA" it's been more akin to half a bottle of cough medicine and just made me want to sit down and wig out.

I agree it's less likely to lead to aggressive behaviour though

What if you mate was passed out drunk and I shaved his head ? Would it get the same response if I shaved your dog ?

I like this one:

Hawthorn is a big eggshell. Everyone in Melbourne knows this. The headline membership numbers are fantastic but subtract tassies and non existent kids and you get about 50,000......for B2B2B premiers playing out of the G !!!

Attendance is inflated both by massive success which is unsustainable and by having 11 home games made of 4 away games at the G VS big opposition replacing the interstaters they dump in Tassie and which would struggle to draw 30K in Melbourne even when they are top 4. Again this is unsustainable.

This is their status. They have always been a minnow. they have outgrown that but their appearent equality with the likes of Essendon or Carlton is fanciful. When the good run ends they will settle as a mid ranked vic outfit with lots of easy to get facebook likes as a legacy of success but smallish attendances and fewer 11 game members.

They won't agree of course but who thinks his wife is plain looking?
