depends how well Darling can recover from both his foot issue and a poor finals series, which culminated in an abortion of a GF where even Tony Notte may have offered more.

Lamb has more potential as a true CHF than Darling despite whatever protests the Darling fanboys might offer up.

His U/18 coach even stated he thinks his ideal position is off half back, and he can plausibly play on a wing (if he doesn't have the tank after this preseason then he never will).

Best of all he attacks the footy hard and tackles well, which will be desirable traits at the selection table.
If he doesn't have the tank after his first full pre season he never will?

Lol

Heading into the scorches. Why does the weather always turn one on for the waca. Last heated days were during the test

It's because the Adelaide Strikers are there and they're shit hot. :p

Yeah JD had a bad finals but plenty of guns have had a bad finals series over the years and have learnt from it, bounced back and had a blinder of a season the following year, IMO Jack will do just that.
Not sure where Simo's going to play Lamb but I very much doubt it'll be in the fwd line at JD's expense.
P.S: Why would anyone ever feel sorry for ballantyne in a GF, thats just well Fn beyond me.

I'm confident the King can back to his 2012 form just like Jetta, etc.

Poorly worded obviously, but I was trying to reference his TTHD 45 mins a day preseason thus far - added to the fact he was already an endurance freak when drafted, given his 3km time trial time is the 7th best time in draft camp history (15 secs better than Gaff), and his 15.05 beep test would land him at first place in half of the draft combines over the last decade.

If he keeps TTHD for FFM/D this preseason then I find it hard to believe that he isn't cherry ripe for a running type role, particularly since he hasn't been locked in as a KPP yet.

Lamb > Jetta > Darling

Now heading home from the scorchers. Big bash is such a better event to attend than any international cricket in this country. Great arvo out.

Yeah because you're playing for something. All the internationals are just friendlies really, apart from the Ashes and the WC.

I think I said that I almost felt sorry for him. (edit: no I didn't, oh well). Everything he touched went to shit, which is a nice piece of history. But it was only marginally worse than Darling's GF.

Everyone seems to be playing up Lamb's potential (not just SpaceClef) but I'm not sure how the balance of the forward line will look...JK, Gov, Darling, and Lamb cannot all be played forward with a resting ruckman. And I think we all want to see some booming McLovin goal kicking action. Wrong thread for this discussion anyway.

Good picture too.

Just practicing their sideline throw ins, right before a hard afternoon of taking penalty kicks and flopping lessons, lead by Michael Walters.

Anyone else hear Cousins in going onto I'm a celebrity get me out of here?

Geez I hope it's not set anywhere in South America.

Ok I think I am ready to acknowledge it now.. this was a pretty ******* good goal

That goal pretty much sealed the deal from my perspective. When he kicked that I just accepted it wasn't going to be our day.

When did this happen? I have no recollection of this match taking place.

Meanwhile at West Coast preseason training...

Second only to the Darling drop for dagger through the heart factor.

Both were RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.

You must have changed seats during the game because my recollection is that Hodges goal was in the pocket I was sitting in (next to the Hawk's cheer squad... City end) whereas Darling's effort was in the diagonally opposite pocket at the Richmond end.
