There are still mostly people who are saying "weve seen this before". They are waiting for the inevitable finals flop that has been a hallmark of the Hinkley era. And they are getting scared that due to the good turn in form that there might be an extension on the cards soon.

Curious to see how it all unfolds. Port offered August as the contractual review timeframe, potentially thinking they may not be in finals.

Do they stick with that and sign up Kenny before his finals tilt or kick the can down the road and make him really dance for it? If they blow this finals chance they might opt to try their luck elsewhere. Keeping him dangling has definitely been working so far, he's getting plenty out of his players and they seem to be doing it for him.

He seems weirdly well regarded in the industry. The media have stated a few times that Essendon offered him 4 years before they offered Brad Scott.

I want Port to sign him to a few more years so there is absolutely no risk that he replaces Simmo.

Nah, look at who they've beaten. Scraped through by less than a goal against a couple of contenders but got belted by the Pies. Have a pretty soft draw for the rest of the season too.

I could see them finishing second and be out in straight sets. Like the Dees last year.

Lycett is doing an old-school beat-up act in the ruck and English has gone into his shell and been a non-entity for the most part.


If English had a nasty streak in him he would be exceptionally good. Gets bullied about far too easily for my liking however.

Only interested in him if its via free agency. Then it effectively becomes Gaff for English.


If draft picks are to be involved though he can bugger right off.
