Did laugh at whoever it was on the ABC's coverage post game talking about how it'd be great for Josh Kelly's loyalty in sticking with GWS to be rewarded.

I don’t think you can play the loyal card when you've got a contract like his.

Whoa this is heavy

I went to the Eagles Saints game and when we rocked up there were screens/sheets up in the windows of the Level 1 Gage Roads bar. Pandemonium within, lots of running around and bodies on the move, with cops arriving not long after us to help security man the doors and stop anyone else going into the bar.

Unsure what happened but it looked like someone was getting worked overtime on the defib.

I was with a friend of my father in law, a mad, success deprived Saints fan in his 60s and it hit him deep, poor bloke. Wouldn't have helped him when the Saints were shitting the bed in the first half.

Yeah but he missed out on the prestige of playing for a real Victorian club like North or Essendon.

Given that amount of very old people that go to football (not a criticism), I am surprised this sort of thing doesn’t happen more often.
I thought heart attack due to closeness of game but according to the article it was a 50yo woman who choked on her dinner.

Choking is scary shit, can happen to anyone. Would have been traumatising for her family to watch it.

Once you hit 40 you have to get your cardiovascular check up every year. Heart disease is extremely preventable in this day and age, but you need to get on top of it early.

I had a dream that Fremantle merged with north to create a super team.

I honestly think it could work

North Fremantle kangaroos.

Fremantle roos

Who says no.

When I was really young I used to volunteer with the St John Ambulance Brigade and used to do a lot of football games, I did over 10k hours and about 80% would have been football games, was fairly common for old timers to run into issues, had only seen the one death, during the 1979 grand final when Carlton rolled Collingwood in the dying seconds, poor guy had a heart attack and passed away.

I’m sure it’s been said but Carlton giving off massive Melbourne 2018 vibes right now. Expect it will be a week or unbridled media wanking followed by an absolute thrashing up in Brisbane.

That 2018 prelim was delicious. 69 to 6 at half time. With Melbournes 6 points all from points.
And Gary's face at half time. One of the most fun days as an Eagles supporter.

Hinkley - "People can say we had some injured players, or some blokes who were less than perfect – I can guarantee you that if some of the replacements were put out there, it would have been a much, much worse result."

Imagine hearing that if you were one of the players that didnt play last night.

That and the fact that they have been openly talking trades during finals week has been incredible.
