Very “meh” player for mine.

Reminds me of Jake King, more of a mascot than a footballer and a very punchable head
Papley's career stats are pretty much the same as Fantasia's, except he's only been on Sydney's list for three years. It's a feather in his cap that he's been elevated to Sydney's leadership group at a relatively young age. Why the derision?

Tom Papley

2016 - 20 games, 29 goals
2017 - 20 games, 30 goals (7th in B&F)
2018 - 20 games, 24 goals

Total: 60 games, 83 goals
Averages: 13.8 disposals, 6.3 contested, 3.6 tackles, 0.9 1%ers, 1.4 goals, 0.7 assists

Orazio Fantasia
Age: 23
55th selection 2013 National Draft

2017 - 20 games, 39 goals, (8th in B&F)

We just like shitting on the opposition. Facts don’t really come into it 🤷‍♀️

Sure :D

I just reckon the opposition small forwards are always the most unfairly maligned players in the AFL. Everyone hates their guts and shitcans them at every opportunity. I think it's a combination of their small stature, goal nous and requisite feisty attitude which grates on people.

Papley doesn't look like much, but I reckon he's a bit of a gun.

Blakey looks an amazing prospect. He's shown a glimpse of virtually every part of the game you'd want from a KPF.

Very clean and agile, kicks the ball beautifully, knows how to draw the ball on the lead and has taken a strong mark or two.

He has a similar shape to Cripps so it's a bit hard to tell what he grows into. He could be end up like Westhoff or could fill out into a monster like Cripps. It's hard to tell because he doesn't have a big upper body (i.e. width of shoulders and thickness of chest) and those guys don't usually fill out.

Blakey has them both beaten for pace, Blakey can get genuine separation from a stoppage, he becomes a mid long term imo.

The dogs managed 40 free kicks and still lost, safe to say the umpiring has been absolute abysmal in the JLT, they should just treat every game like a grand final and let more stuff go.

I get it, Aussie Rules IS a difficult game to officiate, it really is.

As such, you can kind of accept that there will be a few bad calls a game.

But on an all too consistent basis, there are calls which just defy belief, which can only be explained by the fact that we have sub-standard officials.

And it also seems to be the only profession in the world where spending more time working on the craft wouldn't improve it. Or that's the only logical conclusion I can possibly arrive at for not having full-time umpires.

To be fair - the organisation that gives them direction has no idea what it's doing.
