So McCluggage ahead of McGrath? McGrath was ahead on Coaches award with 2 rounds to go...top 20 overall.

Different positions, McCluggage is basically a true wingman, whereas McGrath was playing as a midfielder.

McGrath missed out to guys like Neale, Pendlebury, Adams, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Boak, Steele, Bontempelli and Macrae. Which is probably fair enough.

McCluggage has guys like Menegola and Gaff in a wing role most likely.

My absolute favourite growing up. The noise at the MCG when he'd walk out to bat. The disappointment if he didn't last long was like we'd already lost the game but if he went off.....crazy atmosphere.

Geeze the selectors love to suck up the superstars. They love to make their ‘boys’ 5,6,7,8x all Australians that then become part of their legends of the game club. Absolute farce the team was this year. Gawn, danger, bont and dusty did not deserve to make the team, gawn didn’t finish top 5 in his bnf and danger didn’t even make the mvp voting for geelong. Gaff, Menagola, Butler extremely stiff.
