My absolute pet #1 umpiring hate is when they reward someone being tackled for buckling at the knees and falling forward (having been tackled while upright), drawing an (incorrect) in-the-back judgement. Dempster on Priddis being a prime example. In that instance, the tackler should always be given preference.

The Priddis one was holding the ball every day of the week - Fended off Dempster and got pinned in the tackle.

Stanton needs to stop diving forward and throwing his head back when tackled.
And staying on the ground for a few seconds afterwards, whilst play's still going.

And staying on the ground for a few seconds afterwards, whilst play's still going.

Players need to get over frees not being paid, or getting them paid against them. It happens way to often where a playing stays down and their opponent runs off, or a player turns to remonstrate and their opponent charges off.

FFS, the umps will not change the decision, just get on with it.

I liked hearing that Carlton were robbed because of the non-goal to Garlett, yet the Stanton free (actually towards the end of the game) and the non-review-goal to Betts don't get a mention.
They got the next goal anyway, go back to the middle and play re-starts, no difference made.

7 point play, we would have had a 6 point win instead of 5! WE WAS ROBBED

Not really.

Obviously an exaggeration but he has dismantled so much of a side that should have been in the middle of a dynasty. Now they are doing leading teams sessions mid year. I wonder how many established gun players, who know there is no need to fit into the GFC/Sydney mold, it is going to upset.

He had to change the way they were playing they were figured out, he had get the team to evolve, there is a reason even mick malthouse has changed his "signature" game style at Carlton (1 doesn't have the cattle and 2 its not effective in today's footy)

Id argue that what he is doing is better than sitting around and doing nothing hoping it would get better. Then again you could argue that LT is meant to be player driven, not forced upon a group.
Just playing devils advocate, im not necessarily for or against leading teams but i am very much of the belief that the biggest thing in footy is mindset/attitude.

If LT helps create a premiership winning mindset then go for it. Best thing bucks is doing atm is being proactive, of course if he is forcing it on the players then that could cause more harm

Anyone else notice the interchange steward put something into Lucas' hand? Lucas turned around and popped something, presumably a tablet, into his mouth then bring his drink bottle to his mouth to down the tablet. All of this happened as Murphy went down the race. Probably a caffeine tablet or something of the like. Clear case of PED use.

Carlton tip looking good :thumbsu:

They were looking good at this stage last week too. Difference is that Hawthorn are much better than we are
